I'm looking forward to Klopp getting hold of this team in the summer.

There are too many players who are simply not good enough to match our ambitions.

The transfer policy of the past 4 or so years really has left us in the way we are.

Not a total disaster but requires an awful lot of work.

the players we have are simply not good enough to play at the top level but klopp will and mark my words on this self half of that team once the season is done which cant come soon enough if you ask me. just shows how stupid and inept our owners were in buying the donkeys we now have. klopp wont make the same mistake bodgers did well at least i hope not

Unless that is the specific weakness of too many of the players...mentality...all looking for someone else to do the work when they decide to have a duvet day.

Managers can impose their will but I'm not sure they can change a weak mind anymore than a weak foot....other than to kick them out of the squad. Don't think its a building confidence thing which a manager can do...I think its a lot of players who think they got away with it with one manager and know Klopps not yet in a position due to injuries and pre proper transfer window action to boot them out.

Unfortunately I think thats all thats left for an awful lot of this team...which will mean a couple of windows at least.
I'm not a fan of chequebook management- but it seems he can't get consistency from this bunch (for whatever reason), so it looks like we might need wholesale changes.
Again.

Saw this on Twitter and to me this is the point we're all trying to make:

Mahrez, Ighalo, Vardy= £1.4 million, 42 goals this season.
Benteke, Firmino, Lallana= £86.5 million, 8 goals this season.

That's atrocious.

There was no need for the Mahrez, Ighalo, Vardy line. Essentially you are comparing your strike force with a Premier League highlight reel for this season. Which is unrealistic given how selective the comparison is. Unless you are trying to tell me that you would really be happy for your team to buy cheap, unproven players from less reputable leagues and take the gamble of playing them in the first team for several seasons?

Without Sturridge you've got **** all.

An incredibly average Liverpool side, given the money spent by the previous 2 managers it's incredible that you're this average.

I've seen little positive change since the intitial new manager lift from Klopp either

Should we sack Klopp oh mighty one?!

Did I say that?

I think his influence so far has been negligble that's all.
Forgive me oh wise and powerful one, I was merely asking a question based on your (terribly blighted and pathetic) appraisal!

Why don't you actually challenge the content of what I said, rather than trying (and desperately failing) to be clever.

Can't change ****e. As Saint says we'd love for it to not be another expensive rebuild but too many of these players are either average or don't care enough.

Theyve all got until the summer realistically to prove us wrong..either way if they dont they should be gone.

When you've been fed mouthfuls of horseshit for several years, it takes a little while to notice the change to caviar.

So you're saying that performance today was caviar in disguise as opposed to horse ****?

Have to say, whilst recognising the dogshit that Klopp has at his disposal (and the injuries to Studge and Ings), the tactics and gameplan today were utter mince. Anyone could see that neither lumping the ball or even working down the flanks and floating the ball to benteke was not working, as he just doesn't move. He's NEVER in space. So okay, it's not all his fault, but what to do? That's right, go three at the back and get even more possession in midfield so that we can do the same.

I know I sort of sound obsessed, and Benny is becoming a scapegoat, for sure, but surely I wasn't the only one to observe him run to the side of Collins - not the other way around, ffs - during our build-up play? What was Klopp seeing? Even a young Gerrard couldn't have conjured the miracle cross or through ball that Benteke needed today in those circumstances.

Klopp needs to build his own side, for sure, but I have to say that, a few games aside, I'm not that impressed on his tactical nous with the admitted turdfest that he's working with.

No, im saying our manager is vastly superior to our previous manager, and it takes a little while for the change to filter down.

Didn't expect you to understand.

Nice to know that dogshit and horseshit pass the filter.

Apt words for describing todays events.
