Does anyone remember the G21, who they were, what were their objectives and what happened to them are they still going. Any information would be gratefully received
It was a protest group formed in 2014 by a group of busybodies including Rick Everitt. Rick suggested a boycott of season ticket purchases. It then came to light that Rick had renewed his season tickets in advance to obtain the discount. A classic case of 'do as I say, not as I do'.
I remember Matt Wright being involved - a trust board member too. Don't think it was Barnie at that time.
I know two members of the Group (a father and son) neither has said anything to me about the group being re-formed
Good intervew with Rick Everitt on TalkSPORTS The Season Ticket. Super - the link is on CAFC Spell It Out if you can put it on here. "The peasants are now at the gates" "The fans are clear that this ownership cannot continue" "The owners main intention is to farm players" "League position is not an issue" "He has brought in a lot of players on the cheap from Europe" "Being managed by a bloke from the 3rd tier of Belgian football" "If they continue down the same route, we will make it unmanageable for them"
One question remains with Everitt which somebody has left me with via a text. Target 20k - he openly discussed the issue that he didn't apply but said he was willing to help. So then when he was asked to apply he said no chance, but both did a 360 and he was back on board. (Perhaps confusing, stick with me). So after he went public with this story about how he found himself on the committee, how has it progressed to this point? Was he removed by KM?
Target 20.000 !!! What an utter farce. The CEO has not a clue. If she stays she'll need to create target 5000. That's how few fans will be turning up in League one next season. (Or even in the Championship, if by some miracle we escape relegation)
It would be an interesting experiment to see how popular the £5 game would be now. You would guarantee a sell out 2 years ago, would the casual/non fans be that interested now?
If I were a floating supporter I wouldn't attend now if they paid me £5.00 You make a good point would be interesting to see
