OK then so it must be Norwich as all the others are capitals of Anglo-Saxon kingdoms - Chichester of South Saxons (Sussex), Winchester of West Saxons (Wessex), Tamworth of Mercia, London of the East Saxons (Essex), York of Northumbria. The capital of the East Angles was at Rendlesham, Norwich only becoming a major city when England was united.
