He played for Sporting in their first team and was standout defender in a Portugal team that made the finals in the U21 Euros in the summer. Mascherano couldn't get into West Ham team, Pogba couldn't get into the United team... Not saying he's as good as either or that he's even good enough for us but to not even make it onto the bench from time to time is odd.
True. If he turned out anything like Mascherano or Pogba then that would be amazing. The problem is to every Pogba and Mascherano there are 100's of nobodies!! To not get near such a terrible Villa side speaks volumes imo.
Yup, he's likely to end up like Coates, bright young prospect but ends up at a lower table prem team after a few years. But Villa have been so bad it's strange that someone like him who obviously has some kind of talent isn't even grtting a look in. Id imagine he'd be recalled in Jan for everyone's benefit and either went out to a club that's going to play him or go into the reserves so Klopp can get a better look.
His correct position at centre back. I don't see Klopp dropping Clyne or Moreno from their positions. Clyne------Gomez-------Sakho------Moreno
Fair enough. I guessed that was what you meant. Clyne and Moreno doing ok for now, but we are short of cover there if something happens, so Gomez would also be useful to cover that position if need be as well.
Gomez is a good young player. I don't see him being first choice rcb for a while. I feel he needs time to develop he is not getting now so I'd expect him to get in a queue to play RB next year. You'd hope to see him develop from there but an 18 year old can't be expecting to heard the cats like sahko and Moreno who can be all over the place positionally.
Would still have them here as back ups. Rather then not play at LFC than not play at their respective clubs.
I agree. Both will end up like Coates if lfc don't take action. Wisdom gets some time at Norwich but it's not great and then ilori may as well be at bognor Regis Villa went in for him so sherwood then never bothered so we should recall in January. There is no way they gave met the terms of their loan deal
Oh I agree, especially given the lack of cover we have in those positions at the moment. It's just a bit worrying for their future careers, especially given how much promise they both have/had.
Naismith leaving Everton for £8m Better than Kone IMO Kone's linked up well with Lukaku recently but he's off to a CL club in summer anyway So the £8m needs investing back into another striker. lol just kidding #newmusical
I like Naismith, I think he's underrated. Where's he going? Edit. Ah, Norwich............good signing for them and useful cash for Everton
