I always felt he lost his way when he went to Spurs. He was a great player then and puts in some good performances now but has never reached his potential.

Exactly. Think logically about this. He couldn't get anywhere near our first team. He can't get a game for VILLA ffs!
I don't get why so many on here are so pro this guy. He's clearly no where near ready otherwise he'd be playing. I'm pretty certain the mangers and coaches know more than we all do about his ability.
The amount of pro bullshit that's been posted about him on this forum is embarrassing.
We basically took a gamble and it looks like it back fired. He needs to step up and play for Villa, or disappear off our books.
