    That's the one Aussie.

I've just Googled the lyrics to 'Friggin In The Riggin' and they're far more shocking than I remember. I'd hate to think of my now thirteen year old listening to that. <yikes>

It won't be. Just sold several hundred CDs to make space through a decent on line service, got about £100 for the lot.

Just so sad - I've got about 2000 CDs, probably 500 vinyl, hardly ever listen to them, but wouldn't sell them as each one has a certain memory. Spent so much of my youth in record shops, browsing through all the albums - now the only record shop in town is ****in Tesco, and I couldn't tell you the last time I bought a CD.

I have them all digitally, and I don't have an emotional attachment to the physical versions. Books on the other hand.......

Sadly, that's about the going rate using advertised companies such as Music Magpie. Average price is 25-40p per CD. You could get more selling at a car boot sale but it's a hassle you could probably do without.

I've got over 1,000 CDs and I'll be looking to shift all but my 100-odd favourites in the next year, I've been contemplating buying one of these: https://www.brennan.co.uk/ Looks ideal for 'tidying up'...

Record Collector magazine always worth a look if you have some very rare stuff to flogg. An original Sex Pistols God save the Queen (i think on EMI label) can be worth anything from £6k upwards...................however (1) there are a lot of fakes about and 2) I don't have one

First album was Parallel Lines by Blondie which is on tape & still have lying around in a box somewhere.
Not sure on the first single which is pretty sad in itself - could have been Blondie as well as was pretty fixated on Debbie Harry as young boy.

Sopper - Do you know anything about these machines and if they are any good for storing your CD collection ? I'm a complete Luddite and know f all about what machines are any good and what should be avoided ( Some of the reviews for the machine you link recommend a different, slightly cheaper machine).
Are the compatible with the 'Sonus' system that I could be getting at some time ?
Mrs Staines would love me to dump my 1000+ CD's and create more space for her crap

The original Brennan, the JB7 was a ground-breaker in storing a massive number of CDs for playback. My son-in-law has one and says it's an excellent buy. I presume that is the cheaper model you are quoting. That model has now been superceded by the B2 model which is in the link. It's only just been released on the market and is in the process of being upgraded by download as new features are introduced. Feedback has been positive and I'd be amazed if it didn't have the capability to link to any form of external speaker system. I'm sure their tech dept would provide any info you require...

I had a quick look and it seems that you can link the B2 to Sonos, but only through a wire, which rather defeats the point of the Sonos. Looks like a neat bit of kit though.

Why don't you just load all your CDs onto a PC Staines? It'll take a bit of time but whatever method you choose this chore will be necessary. Then you can just beam it straight to the Sonos.
