Match Preview
QPR are back on the road today, with a trip to Portman Road – the home of Ipswich Town – in the Sky Bet Championship.

Following last Saturday's 1-1 draw at Bristol City, which extended Rangers' recent unbeaten run to five matches, boss Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink will be keen to see his charges extend that sequence this weekend.

Nine points from a possible 15 represents a decent return for the Hoops, but the newly-appointed R's gaffer will be only too aware of the need to turn draws into wins if Rangers are to climb the table over the hectic festive period.

It t certainly won't be easy for the R's against Mick McCarthy's side.

Despite Ipswich losing their last two in front of their own supporters, the Tractor Boys currently occupy the fourth and final play-off position in sixth spot.

After a winless eight match run in September and October, Town have charged back into the play-off picture over the last couple of months, with four wins on their travels putting McCarthy's men back in the mix for promotion.

Defender Luke Hyam is available for the hosts after Town activated his 28-day recall option from Rotherham United, but hit-man David McGoldrick is set for a prolonged spell on the sidelines owing to a hamstring injury.

The same can also be said for R's talisman Charlie Austin, who is set to miss the festive period with a hamstring injury, with Seb Polter likely to deputise again in his absence.

Actually more attacking than I thought.
I thought it was going to be Henry, Ale, Sandro.........................with no CF

So polter and JET this is your moment to shine

Best of luck and safe journey to those going.

Will this be the day Fer does something? Probably not but we live in hope. Would be delighted with a point.

Fer has done eff all to justify a place in the team in fact I'd struggle to find him a spot in the bench.

Jet is on the bench Beth.
Usual formation with Henry in for Sandro.

Yup Col, but I thought he would play three midfielders in this match Sandro/Henry/Ale...not two..so more attacking than I thought

And I bet you any money you like Poulter and JET will both play today...Jimmy is assessing how many forwards he needs to buy/loan in January
These 3 matches are the only chance these two are going to get....one or the other (or both) need to take this opportunity
