WDSport have been looking at who they think will be named in the squad at the end of January and which players are likely to be on their way.

What an excellent summary - many thanks for sharing OFH!

Intersting to see the comments about Dyer and Diamante in particular. I suppose when the team is performing so well it's hard to break in but good to know they're still getting their heads down during the week. There's many across the country who don't I am sure

I know -what a great position to be in now - we sell only if it is advantageous for the club - not to survive

Andros Townsend being linked..

Maybe do a Cathcart and look much better when signed on a permanent deal than when here on loan?

I cannot see us signing Android, Spuds will want far too much for him and he seems to have run out of steam. Agree with Mark, he did not impress at all on loan - same for Danny Rose (plus that OG at Norwich still rankles)

Peterborough striker on the radar and Ighalo not for sale
DEC 29, 2015BY KEVIN AFFLECK0
Watford are monitoring the form of Jonathan Edwards, Peterborough’s teenage striker who is on loan at St Albans City.

Edwards, who turned 19 last month, made three League One appearances for Posh at the end of last season and has been a prolific goalscorer at youth-team level. He joined St Albans earlier this month on a short-term loan deal and scored a stunning winner against Maidenhead United.

The Luton-born striker is not being considered with a view to him joining Quique Sanchez Flores’ Premier League squad. Watford are always on the look out for players to boost their Under-21 resources, as they showed with the recent signing of goalkeeper Luke Simpson, and the Pozzos have built their footballing empire on taking calculated punts on players like Edwards.

And another:

Watford and Bournemouth are reportedly interested in Malaga goalkeeper Carlos Kameni, who has a release clause below €1m.

AS claims the Cameroon goalkeeper is wanted by Quique Sanchez Flores at Vicarage Road and the Hornets wouldn’t be troubled by the cost.

Kameni had his escape clause halved when he re-signed at La Rosaleda in 2014 in exchange for a two-year deal on lower terms and it current stands below €1m, though the exact amount isn’t specified.

Bournemouth have also been linked to Kameni but Javi Gracia hopes to convince the custodian to stay, viewing him as an important part of the squad on and off the pitch, but Kameni is interested in a move to the Premier League.

Daily Mail
Quique Sanchez Flores wants two wingers to bolster his side's attacking options and utilise their strengths on the counter and he will also look to add another defensive player.
Positions wanted: Wingers
Budget: £20m
Potential players coming in: Andros Townsend (Spurs), Simone Zaza (Juventus), Sidney Sam (Schalke)
Potential players going out: Jose Holebas

Nothing about the goalie from Malaga we are being linked with

Talk in Italy of Behrami going to Udinese ... I think he is a good player , but the sending off risk is to great with his style of play ..so if we can get a more cultured replacement or play Guedioura , I would be happy with this move .
..Some of the translation of Italian sites comments looks a little strange ...mention of a bl** J** in one posting .. And I love the way they refer to us as Londoners , when we are really country bumpkins based in leafy Hertfordshire .

"Una pippa" is the term but I think the insult carries more weight in English than Italian thus it doesn't translate properly despite literal correctness.
