I thought Gazza was now number one after a couple of decent games.

Certainly not in 2015. Home to Watford is my guess.

Without wishing being an utter grump I fail to see how this is going to improve the current form.

When he was playing last season he had Toby, Morgan and Clyne in his defence. These players are gone and, as we have found out, are very hard, if not impossible, to replace for a club like us. When he plays again there is going to be a very good chance that Fraser will be playing in front of a fragile and under-confident defence. I think this will be a big test for him and no matter how good he is he cannot plug great big holes and brain-farts that appear every week at the moment.

He could easily become the latest scapegoat if the team continues on it's downward trajectory and how will that affect his overall confidence and belief?

Hopefully this will never come to pass but I don't see Fraser returning bringing a sudden upswing in our form.

Maybe not but a good confident keeper can help turn around an unconfident defence and assuming the injury hasn't unsettled him, Forster brings a much better all round game to the table than our other keepers. Could be the shot in the arm we need.

We're kind of in a similar position to Arsenal before they signed Cech. Ospina didn't exactly fill his team mates with confidence. Cech comes in and suddenly they look a whole lot better. Forster is going to be like a new signing he's been out that long. Bertrand, Fonte and Van Dijk have played with him before so it's just Cedric who will be new to Forster.

I prefer both of your positive takes on the situation than my miserable, down-in-the-mouth, post :emoticon-0100-smile I think the current utter crap run has got me down a bit, it all really started with that revenge 6-1 home defeat by Liverpool, we've really shown them since our players left for Scouseland, a bit like Spurs too.

The cup stuff is definitely were Koeman said we could get some silverware and so far it's looked like the players don't seem to believe this.

Foster's return could just give the team a shot in the arm. We are in a rut....a player coming back could be the same as a new player.

I'd play him in either the West Ham or Norwich games. I honestly would. If he is back in full training, he has obviously rehabilited sufficiently. Obviously a risk, but it always will be. Get him in!

Is not match fit a valid excuse for a keeper ? I can understand his timing may need some work and he may be abit timid when jumping because of the injury, but with a weeks full training (if the staff are happy) then he should be a starter

Apparently Stek is also fit....decision has to be made. I'm always twitchy about injured players....they always seem to get another injury when they come back....perhaps it's different for keepers...not so much sprinting. Just that jumping:emoticon-0107-sweat
