No City fans on this forum, so lack of melt on their board tonight. I bet HIAG had his little cocktail sausage gripped between fingers though, praying for a City equaliser
... didn't get to watch the game but the stats suggest City might have been on top - 20 goal attempts to 8 and 63% possession ... absolutely no wum for the avoidance of doubt - just interested on your take (as you know I'm not impressed by mere possession stats but the goal attempts are 'interesting' reading) ...
It was a classic case of letting them have the ball in front of us whilst we kept a good defensive shape. When we had the ball we made it count with some brilliant incisive attacking. The Toure goal was a bit of a freak, a great strike, but it came out of nothing. It made the last 10 mins very nervy, but apart from that, we had City exactly where we wanted them all night
The scoreline completely flattered city Until they scored in 82nd minute Cech never looked like conceding
If Toure's was a bit of a freak then so was Walcott's...both were very good goals rather than freakish imo...but completely agree with the rest...apart from ... city were awful until the last 10 minutes
When I say freakish, it was the way that Toure just seemed to bury it from nowhere, not trying to take away the skill he executed though. Walcott's goal was brilliant and equally as good. If Campbell and Ramsey's finishing had been a bit better it could have been 4 or 5 for us.
It could have been 4 1 tonight as Hart pulled off a couple of good saves and Rambo and Campbell had at least two chances each
He would have been preparing his wum fail thread when Toure scored, sweating it out and praying that City would equalise. He'll go into hiding now though* *casts line
Sod right off...4-1 is our scoreline at home v the money city Think that was their first away goal since they played us in September
Perhaps he will get another photo of a fish out or he is looking at old photos of Spurs last League title win - was there colour films then ! Perhaps Hiag could ask his dad what it is like to see your team play for the title.
