as ive said in previous threads mill fc are the best singer in london forget west ham arsenal tottenham or chelsea the millwall roar quite simply is the best in london

my millwall funny story goes back to that season that you had sheringham and casscarino up front it was all over the papers that prominent fans said

COME DOWN THE WALL AND YOU WILL FIND ITS ALL CHANGED WE ARE A FRIENDLY CLUB NOW

so i said to one of my mates lets watch the live millwall v liverpool match lets give the wall a chance
so in the pub was about 20 neutrals watching the game and about ten liverpool fans
23 minutes into the game the only thing you could hear was deafening

    LIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRRRRPPPPPPPOOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLL
so me and my maste was saying to the liverpool fans well fair play to the wall fans they have got there
    act together
when mcmahon chipped the ball to terry macdermot and he recieved the ball on his chest he took three steps then struck a thirty yards thunderbolt straight into the top corner of millwalls net but the ball hit the top of the bar and bounced harmlessly behind the goal
so the cameras are focused on the l;iverpool fans who start all jumping around looking really happy
when this deafening roar comes out of the whole of the stadium
    YOUR NEVER MAKE THE STATION
everybody in the pub broke out hysterically laughing
and from this story millwall you can see that with your brilliant support you can re invent yourself look at brighton last season they were nothing but now theyve gone twenty games without defeat
look at brentford another side who re invented them selves
with just a little luck millwall could be back at wembley this season and be back up to division
wall merry christmas and remember never lose your dreams i dream about qpr every night and im not ashamed of that it might be a joke club to many but i love them
when we last got to wembley the club had put 40 thousand qpr flags on the back of our seats and yes i did cry when all those flags were flying because i have never seen a qpr site like that
I SHOULD NOT COME ON YOUR SITE ALL THE TIME BUT I WOULD LOVE TO SEE THE WALL WITH A BRAND NEW 40 THOUSAND STADIUM IN THE TOP FIVE OF THE PREM
im getting fed up with arsenal chelsea and tottenham domination football is only interstesting
when clubs like wycombe wanderers brentford millwall make it to the top against all odds
i used to love the old wimbledon vinny jones crazy gang they always beat us back when you went to there ground there fans were ever so friendly

Morning Ted and see you've changed your mind!! <laugh>

Exactly mate as the Prem is a predictable bore. <doh>

That's why I'm pleased that Leicester are a breath of fresh air even though I've criticised them like many others about buying promotion. <ok>

i love your millwall knowledge steve you know your history you are trully a great fan

IS IT TRUE THAT MILLWALL WERE FOUNDED BY SCOTTISH DOCKERS AND USED TO HAVE A SCOTTISH FLAG ON THERE SHIRTS

IF IT IS QPR HAVE SOMETHING IN COMMON WE WERE FOUNDED BY CELTIC FANS AND USED TO PLAY WITH GREEN AND WHITE HOOPS,BUT THE RECENT FRIENDLY BETWEEN CELTIC AND QPR WAS NOT VERY FRIENDLY

steve i love maritime history i go to portsmouth once a year to board hms victory i love it,but where im from theres no docks so ive spent a lot of time up st catherine docks and i love the stories about how the old east londoners used to put deck chairs on the river thames near tower bridge when the tide was out
but am i right in assuming it was robertson jam that became the millwall or was it some company that has long been
    dispanded

THE MILLWALL HISTORY IS ONE OF THE MOST FACINATING THINGS ANYONE OF YOU NORTHERN GUYS WHO LIVE IN PICTURESQE YORKSHIRE FOR INSTANCE DONT ACTUALLY SEEM TO SEALISE THAT LIVING BY OLD FATHER THAMES
IS QUITE FACINATING,YEARS AGO THE DOCKERS HAD LIKE A LONG METAL CLAW THAT THEY USED TO REIN THE ROPES FROM THE CRANES INTO THE SHIPS HOLDS AND AS CHILDREN OUR PARENTS TOLD US THAT THE MILLWALL FANS USED TO TAKE THEM INTO THE OLD COLD BLOW LANE AND SWING THEM ABOUT WHEN THEY DIDNT LIKE A REFS DECISION
what were they called steve was it a dockers hook or something it was all quite facinating the men who used to unload boats were a law unto themselves and rummours are that the old pubs in bermondsey were full of contraband its all very facinating i would buy the millwall history book and read it all
people dont realise that the old wall had plenty of fans they were trully giants,if in the last thirty years they had played in the top division they could be getting 40 thousand crowds where as my own club qpr have sufferd because they have chelsea fulham and brentford in the same catchment area, and that has made us minows really

If you're interested in football club history, Ted, pop over to the Leeds board, they are living history. You can have a ball picking up all their old stories of past glories (I like that bit, eh?). And they LOVE poetry. Some of them can even read! And when it comes to minnows, there's no fishier club than them.

Steve, Ted is one of your own, and you need the traffic, you and Brissy should stop bullying him.

We'd never dream of it as Norman as bullying only occurs on your board....

Trust me Ted, the Leeds lads love poetry and have floated the idea before about doing a poetry thread. <ok>
