I agree to a point but I would say that most English lads probably don't want to move abroad at 16-18, particularly to largely inferior leagues. Spain and Germany have enough youngsters coming through not to bother with ours so they'd be going to places like France and Belgium. That's probably championship standard at best (save for PSG) so they may as well stay here. Youngsters get plenty of chances in the lower leagues. It's really only the top end of the P.L where it's been a bigger issue.

But I agree that we don't place enough emphasis on the more technical aspects of the game from a young age. But somewhere like Hollland does and they've got a very poor international team at the moment and not many good players coming through. Very tricky subject.

He should've gone after Stoke - this is becoming a slow and painful death and there's no point in waiting for the January window; the turnaround has to happen sooner rather than later and it'll need a fresh pair of eyes to try and repair the damage.

Lampard's response to the question of why youngsters haven't been given a chance at Chelsea was enlightening. He said they're not good enough. Do any Chelsea fans genuinely believe that or is it Lampard trying to be supportive of Mourinho?

How many youngsters are getting a chance at the big clubs generally though at the moment? United have been forced to blood some due to injuries etc. over the last couple of years but none really stand out as being that good. City are as bad as us, possibly worse. Arsenal haven't blooded any for a while if memory serves. Spurs are probably one of the better examples but how much of that was forced due to poor signings from the Bale money?

Tricky subject. Personally I think many of our youngsters could do a job but it's so high pressure managing the big clubs that few managers take a risk.

Most other clubs will give youngsters some game time though. Chelsea practically never do. Right now could some of the young players be any worse than the established first teamers? Mourinho doesn't seem to trust them at all.

    All we know is:

We need goals, yet we have one of last years eredivisie top scorers in our squad. Due to his age and profile hes nowhere near starting.

We need steel and creativity in midfield, we have one of englands top prospects in our squad, due to his age and profile he is nowhere near starting.

We need a bit creativity on the wing and directness in place of hazard/oscar we have a top brazilian prospect there, but again due to age and profile nowhere near starting.

We dont know if these players are good enough, because they havent been given a chance. This is because jose would rather player experienced out of form mercenaries who dont want to play for the club.

To me thats a problem regarding our manager and club's infastructure.

Its time to stop making excuses for poor management of this clubs assets.

Kennedy, Traore and RLC have had some game time this year, Zouma is pretty much established first teamer as well if we are counting him. Is that any worse than some of our rivals?

I agree they should be given more of a chance though.
