They keep claiming they wanted to be challenging at the top, they could spend about 25m - 40m, keep all star players and show real intent.

No team at the top of the league at this stage of the season, has ever finished outside of the top 4.

Le Havre is a breeding ground for talent mate, many scouts will have known about his talent but it's having the confidence to translate it into this league, he's got it in abundance right now but more importantly for Leicester, he had it last season when they were in deep ****.

He'll be the most in demand player from here on out in this league, him and John Stones. Big money getting pushed at Leics for him no doubt.

The difference is that whilst Vardy is 28 and at his peak Mahrez is 24 and could just be coming into his best years - he looks immense. 50m for Sterling (to be fiar Sterling hasn't been terrible but not anywhere near as good as Mahrez).

Some of the best attacking flair isn't at the "big clubs" as United, Chelsea and Liverpool all look a big timid at times going forward whilst the likes of Bolasie, Mane and Mahrez look terrifying. Citeh and Arsenal seem to depend on which day you catch them, without Aguero I reckon we'd have beaten City he edged it in their favour on the day (with his 5 goals...).

Leicester will if they sell Vardy and Mahrez.

That's the test, for their owners.

I hope they don't sell. I'd sooner they won it than City or Arsenal.

See, I understand that from your point of view, but it would kill me if Leicester won the league. A club not even as big as Sunderland achieving this, it cuts deep for me, I wish it was us. Good on them for what they have achieved though.

They were almost relegated last year and the difference between relegation and top half of the table (lets not talk about winning or champions league just yet) is well over the £50m mark so I don't see why they'd sell even for a chunk more than that.

Hear what you're saying but the new money coming into the league means teams like Leicester actually gives me hope. Best season in ages this one.

I understand not talking about them winning. Why not them making the Champions League though? It looks like they'll do it...

Players have all the power mate. If we want Mahrez trust me we will make sure he knows it. Once the head gets turned, it's curtains.

See I argued with Smug and a few others that it's not impossible for you lot to challenge for the title.

Right now, Leicester are proving my point for me and nobody can deny that with the right people on and off the pitch, Terry is the ****ing King of the world.

You can be a pessimist and say it's impossible or you can do what Leics are doing and have a go.

The monopoly has been smashed to pieces this season. Everybody is waiting for 'order to be restored' I'm not sure it will.

Wouldn't Leicester to Man Utd be a step down?

He'd need to be given assurances you'd sign some other top players :p

It would be a huge jump in wages <ok>

Sadly, we can only offer him Europa League.

If he was happy with lots of money and that level of European competition he would be better going to Chelsea and playing Cardiff next season.

It's the circle of life mate. The clubs who are top of the league and have been for the last 15 years wont always stay like that, it always changes at sometimes. Weren't you bottom when Fergie took over? Man City have been down the divisions like us, Chelsea generally a mid table club. This could be the start of a revolution and we might start to see 1 or 2 of the big clubs we are used to seeing up at the top, falling away permanently and new boys taking their place.

I don't think so somehow. Not with the fair play rules now in place, and the global brands already well established for the bigger clubs. They simply have the power to buy their way back to the top which is almost impossible for any of the smaller clubs to match. Even if Leicester win the Prem this season, United's income will still dwarf theirs, they'd have absolutely no chance of keeping their best players, or challenging again next year.

Personally, don't see it, Southampton and West Ham were in a similar position last year, and look what happened to them. Leicester will do well to get Europa League imo, especially if Vardy and/or Mahrez pick up an injury.

So, if I was to ask you the question... Do you think Man Utd, Man City, Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool will still be top 6 teams consistently for the next 100 years. You would have no hesitation in answering, yes?

No, rules could change, etc. But for the foreseeable future, I don't see any change

Nice to se our players getting recognition outside of our own board - for those interested a couple of great articles on the lad

    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...tml?ITO=1490&ns_mchannel=rss&ns_campaign=1490

    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...ascent-and-comparisons-with-Lionel-Messi.html

We got him for a daft price - around £350k and he was spotted by Steve Walsh our Chief scout who initially had gone out to look at Le Harvre's other winger, Ryan Mendez, who is now at Forest.. (think we dodged a bullet on that one <laugh>)

Walsh also 'strongly advised' Ranieri to secure the deal for N'Golo Kante at the beginning of the season ... for me the best addition to the Prem this season (I'll admit to some bias - but he has been just as key as Vards or Mahrez to our success)

Walsh is now apparently subject of a poaching move by Arsenal - perhaps unsurprisingly <laugh>

As to how good Mahrez is? - I've been watching Leicester City since the 1969/70 season and he is, IMHO, the most naturally gifted footballer I've seen at the club ..

It's like the Kevin Phillips story all over again! We paid £350,000 for him but it was his strike partner at Watford we were after initially, David Connolly. However the mighty Feyenoord were in for him so we took Phillips instead!
