Ironically this looked very much like a Warnock display to me. We were well organised, energetic (in the first half at least) and moved the ball around quickly. And as with the four Warnock games we didn't look like scoring more than a single goal. Yesterday that goal didn't come (although the chances were there late on) and we clearly lacked the fitness to carry an excellent first half into the second 45. As with Warnock, JFL can't fix the fitness problem in a few days but while he works on that he can at least carry on doing the same things NW had introduced to turn things around.
Starting without jet will continue to **** me off while charlie can't do 90 . You give all the wrong vibes to the travelling team when they see that team sheet . If folk are happy with such negativity in the line up at home then best of luck to you .
Get over it mate it's getting so boring if you want to live in the past stay at home and we can all go and watch an exciting chapter in our history I'm very confident that our team is being led by a manager who is self assured confident and a winner!
Won't win many games with no striker , if I was jet I woul be insulted to be left on bench for Philips , Philips has the worst shot ive seen for a while . Let him do what he does best, ie wipping crosses in from wide .,
I agree with this, although from what I've seen of him including yesterday, I can't see the answer to our uninspiring (if workmanlike) performances is JET. Hasslehoff did not want to lose yesterday, that was his priority. I won't judge him on it, but I did find our lack of anything like an end-product increasingly frustrating - Henry's decision not to put his foot through the ball when he just had the keeper to beat, and instead take not one but two touches that took him into defence traffic epitomised what felt like a wasted afternoon. And if Hoillet ever get anywhere close to scoring a goal, I'll start looking for the three wise men coming from the East Hoff will get 10 games from me, and since we're approaching a conveniently placed window, he has a wonderful opportunity to bring in one or two players to sharpen our attack, and then work with such talent as we have (and in the case of Austin, possibly retain) to make us a feared team in the Championship
Have alook at yesterdays highlights then .....Jimbo http://www.qpr.co.uk/news/article/highlights-qpr-burnley-loftus-road-championship-2849209.aspx one good shot only a foot high...another on target...and he was really involved with a lot of what was going on. He is not my favourite player, but you are being very harsh on him
In response to Ted's original post, I thought that was a very Warnock like performance, Reading all over again. Also I thought Faurlin was excellent again.
Phillips isn't a striker but his shooting isn't the issue. He's absolutely clueless with his back to goal and wins very little in the air. It also means we have to play an inferior player on the wing when bloody Gladwin and Harriman are doing well on loan, Yun has disappeared off the face of the Earth and decent young players are lucky to get in the 18.
Just as an experiment...as some of you are finding Teds posts "difficult" and "repetitive" and LOUD, whilst others like Factomundo, think they are the bees knees...We thought we would try as an experiment having somewhere to store all these gems, where connoisseurs can go to enjoy, whilst others can take a detour. I will try and merge Teds Threads into one stream....Lets see how it goes?
well today we play brighton and under warnock it would have been a one nil win lets see how hasselbaink doses maybe he will get a draw if he loses then im going to be very angry with the ferdinand hasselbaink cris ramsey corporation of football students i wish they wouldnt study using qpr as there guinie pigs i would rather a real manager like my mate neil
