"We played rather well in the first half and I had the feeling we could win in the second half but then a set play and you are behind in the score and it is very difficult to have a revival. The players had done everything but Bournemouth pressed on the ball in a fantastic way which made it difficult to get the equaliser or create chances.

Hang on isn't his job to instruct or train his players for this kind of scenario in case it happens in a game or does his just have one philosophy (pass sideways), bloody Bournemouth making it difficult for them to equalise or create chances that is not fair.

What he also failed to mention was the passage of play leading up to that corner for their second goal. The mazy run from their half by one of their players, while Fellaini our CM stalwart just stood and watched was par excellence.

He's praising Bournemouth, something he's also accused of not doing. Nothing wrong with that.

It was asked. He didn't look happy. I suspect that will be addressed in the drawing room. And rightly so.

He needs to go, clearly can't hack the league.

For someone who can't hack it he's doing better than most isn't he? Current form is very poor though and the whole team, manager and staff included need to sort it out.

I know the only way to stop people who press you and harass you is players who have technical ability, strength, one touch ability, football brain and work rate to move with the one touch football. Fellaini has strength (good start).

And he can't even use that properly. That's where it ends.

Unfortunately the rest of them didn't even show that :(

Martial and Memphis played well first half too. Martial looked dangerous and capable of making something happen. Elsewhere it wasn't great though and those 3 faded away second half (obv Fellaini was subbed).

The young defenders out in a typical young players performance. Very inconsistent, lacking in the cohesion we see with the usual defence. Bournemouth realised this and took advantage. Sure, Jones could have started and maybe Schneiderlin butbthats 2 unfit players or 2 fully fit youngsters. Hardly a mad call was it?

I am quite happy with the way the two full backs played, they have been thrown into the first team in difficult circumstances and have performed ok. McNair has gone backwards from last season and I would have preferred Blackett to get a chance if Jones was going to be on the bench.
Mata has been woeful for the past few games and is obviously missing his link with Herrera, Memphis is getting better again (slowly), Martial is just a bit inconsistent.
Midfield was poor today, Carrick doesn't have the legs to do it on his own anymore and Fellaini is no great help there.
We still had enough on the field to win that game today but too few showed any real fight.
