It's going to be difficult, but I think that Gaddafi is right. We have to show that we are not feeding the "bigger" clubs our players. Chelsea did not do anything special to us last season. The only reason they beat us was from a calamity from Gomes and a goal that wasn't. Modric must see that we're a team on the up that had a small glitch last season because our strikers couldn't hit the arse end of a cow.
Does anyone else worry that if we do refuse any offer from any club for Luka, that we will see the pathetic tantrums and stroppiness that Berba displayed? I would like to think not, but I didn't think he would hand in a transfer request either, so who knows.

Let's see if this £35mm offer actually materialises, first. It could be just more old bollocks. My inclination is to say that no way we sell to that classless oufit, unless they pay silly money. Yeah, £50mm+
Just why the bloody hell are we trying to accommodate this Croatian by signing players just to keep him here. He is not that important.
I don't think anyone has said we are, TMT. It's more that we have similar ambitions to Modric, so we need to bring in some top players to get there, aswell as keeping our best that we currently have.
40m plus Drogba and subsidise his wages for two years then we should have a deal. As much as i want ****rich to stay, his public demanding of wanting to leave might cause disruptions to the squad. If he is unhappy then his heart would not be in playing for us and his performances will suffer. But also as he is such a talented player, his quick vision of the best pass is incredible and the way he holds onto the ball for a small lad. Instead of Levy repeating 'He's not for sale', which clearly Roman is ignoring, you should do what we've done with Cesc, put a price on him. If Chelsea can't or don't want to entertain it, then Spurs should dictate a cash plus player deal - you're after a striker. How about £30m plus Kalou?
