14:05 Leicester - Haatefina (The "Mistletoe Selling Hurdle" could well be a good way to kiss one's cash goodbye, but, in a pretty desperate affair, this daughter of Haatef has a reasonable chance, and current 11/2 with PP looks a sporting bet).

Ruby Walsh makes a decent case for a rule change on the back of the Sire De Grugy race at the weekend. I think he has a point and I am wondering if although still not taking opinion out altogether we can make a slight change to take away the anomaly of the guilty horse receiving all the benefit of the doubt. http://www.sportinglife.com/racing/...ons-interference-rules-following-tingle-creek I would propose that to try and find a balance somewhere between what we have at present and the French system the rule should be as follows. Unless the stewards are convinced that the best horse won the race and would have done so had interference not taken place the benefit of the doubt must be given to the horse interfered with. This would still allow common sense and the ability to allow the superior horse to keep the race but change the emphasis on supporting the guilty party in close calls. There would still be controversies but I feel in essence most do not like the idea of the guilty party being advantaged. I feel this would have changed the result at the weekend.
Lingfield 12.50 Captain Lars been hammered to bits. He is however expected to win but you didn't need me to tell you that with the market move!!
There should be an enquiry into the ride given Silver Quay in the first at Lingfield in my opinion. The jockey did everything that he should know you never do at Lingfield. He gave up his draw easily and dropped back to last, positioned his mount wide losing ground all the way round, made up ground on the outside mid race and then as is obvious had nothing left in the finish. The jockey is no fool and a decent up and coming jock so looks suspicious to me.
Can't see any other result than the favourites winning in the first two races at Kempton should be easy money so I've done the double for a few extra Xmas pennies
Was thinking this myself but instead done Gosden/Havlin treble in next 3 races. Also like Duchess of Marmite in the 6.40. Hoping for some returns to put on footy tonight, not often you get odds against for Barca.
Graceful James 20/1 ran a nice race and wasn't beaten far on his debut here last month. The Gosden one could be useful but I've chanced an each way on this one at the prices.
Cheers Stick, will have a flutter on that one. Oh well that fav got going a little late and was odds on just like about 5 others today which have all been beaten.
