That ship sailed mate. Massive shame since he was a target under Comolli.

Someone like Lacazette, Michy or Volland are ideal because they play up front or out wide (if Sturridge comes back).

Are you forgetting the Klopp effect? <yikes>

Pierre is doing very well atm so will cost more but Klopp knows him and vice-versa. I don't see us getting him but I wouldn't say impossible.

True - I'm just think about the cost plus he's now on the radar of every elite club.

But the Klopp effect is definitely huge for us.

He'll probably be encouraged by all his Dortmund mates joining us too <whistle>

I do think the Gundogan rumour has legs though. He's practically in love with Klopp and itching for a move away.

Combined with his contract expiring st the end of next season, Dortmund could be looking to cash in.

Regardless of his abilities / talent, I wouldn't take him because of who his agent is!
Oh yeah. Forgot about that small detail!

Another talented striker this is year is Michy, who is this years Lacazette in Ligue 1.

Arguably the most talented Belgian striker.

Berahino actually sacked his agent after the Sterling stuff. I admire him for that.

I have to bring up Jamie Vardy.

A few of the lesser reliable sites are reporting this:

Turkish newspaper Takvim are claiming that Liverpool have agreed personal terms with former Borussia Dortmund winger Kevin Großkreutz.

The 27-year-old has not played any competitive football since the summer, after his proposed switch to Turkish side Galatasaray collapsed due to the late arrival of his paperwork and now his family are eager to find pastures new.

An opportunity to join up with his former boss at Dortmund Jurgen Klopp, looks like an offer to good to turn down and the player, who was utilised in many positions by his coach during their time together in Germany, could be heading to the Premier League in January.

Liverpool have a tough second half of the season to come and the new man at the helm is keen to add some new faces for what is considered to be a tough run into the current campaign.

Another important factor in the deal is the Großkreutz's salary, and whether it would fit into the current Anfield wage structure.

Klopp is also not thought to be put off by the players lack of first-team action, having been left in limbo since his Galatasaray debacle. His previous experience of working with Großkreutz at Borussia Dortmund means he knows exactly what type of player he would be possessing.

I would say every agent of a former Klopp player will be working over time to drum up business using Klopp.

For me this one is very much smelling of an agent using a tenuous link to try drum up attention for a guy who looks to have tanked. Any press talk is good press for agents

Liverpool have agreed a deal to sign Galatasaray winger Kevin Grosskreutz, according to reports in Turkey.

He's essentially a utility, squad, sub option - another Milner but cheaper. Squad is quite thin at the moment so I'm guessing Klopp may want a player to cover multiple positions in the short run.
