Almost unanimous support for the protest on CL. This one could be better than the last one. Our CEO going to ground hasn't placated the mood in the way she maybe hoped it would.
Yep, seems like the great result at BHA has' nt calmed the masses. Sod dialogue. Let's get big numbers round the West Stand for this one. No need to spoil saturday by watching the game. Lets's just protest.
And there was me thinking, "you know what, Leeds fans would be ones that could relate to having a ****ty owner who ruins your club and its identity!"
Good support for this Saturday's protest both on CL and social media. Just when a head of steam builds up, along comes the ever reliable CAST try hard Richard Pemberton, who has posted 20 times that he wouldn't feel comfortable associating with mere peasants (ie: CAST members?) at a protest as anti women and anti Belgian songs might be sung CRINGE Rikofold also seems to be claiming with a straight face that CAST has achieved "success" because Meire ordered Olly Groome to script some rubbish about some utter gash called "Target 20,000". In politics, this is what we call 'managing expectations' (dick - I did laugh at your comment to Ric, BTW ) We know that Pemberton's liberal cosmopolitan ideals are offended by the thought of a protest, so why doesn't he leave it to real Charlton fans to sort, and go back to counting those lovely fivers from that Town Hall meeting that achieved diddly squat Rick has blocked me on Twitter BTW, after I gave him some direct feedback this week about his performance. I am really up for the protest this Saturday. The pathetic capitulation at Brighton and Fry's comments about how Brighton's fans got behind their team, have stiffened the sinews. We won't be beaten by this odious Belgian mob and their quisling limp wristed handmaidens from CAST.
He's sounding more and more like a politician this bloke. "I support the protest, but I won't be supporting it." Why people have lost trust with the trust as well as KM and RD
He certainly takes himself extremely seriously. I don't see how you can keep Belgium out of it, since Roland refuses to appoint a non-Belgian to run the team or the club, which is what the problem is.
Pemberton is as useful as a chocolate teapot Lost all respect when KM put him in his place and he just rolled over.
So when you've got over 1000 fans roaring for Roland to get out, he'll be the one standing aside tut-tut-tutting.
He'll be the one panting like a puppy around KM, demanding acceptance. This could have been his time - to make CAST something. Hindsight is a wonderful thing - and whilst the trust isn't my bag, you have to concede that Razil was a better representative for the fans.
I don't often agree with the Mod on CL, but he is right to challenge Pemberton on why CAST doesn't focus on the issue that really concerns 99% of our remaining fans, namely the state of the team and the lack of a manager Instead it is this constant rubbish about "influence" and "dialogue"
Do you know why he spills this rubbish? Because he hasn't got a clue what to do. As fans - we are putting up the fight, whilst he sound bites off about possible dialogue. But then I can only assume it's arrogance that leads him to believe this is the right way of going about things.
The principle of dialogue between club and fans is fine in theory, but is pointless in our case. If our CEO wanted an insight into the world of football and in particular CAFC she just needs to talk to Keith Peacock. Damien Matthew had it right- we need a knowledgable director of football to give advice, not a self-important fan (although the fan is cheaper). The set-up now is based on trial and error, a bit like Pin the Tail on the Donkey, except Pin the Donkey on the Club.
Rikofold is desperate to be most irritating Charlton fan of the year 2015. Ending Ben Hayes 12 year run.
Pemberton had his chance as part of the elite group of 20 at the recent meeting with Meire. It's fair to say he blew it big time, although he had clearly practiced hard on his fawning pronunciation of "Katreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeen"
