QPR kick off a busy December schedule tonight, with a short trip down the M4 to Reading for a rare Thursday night fixture in the Sky Bet Championship.

With six games between now and the end of the calendar year, Rangers will be keen to build on Saturday’s comfortable victory against Leeds United when they lock horns with Steve Clarke’s side at the Madejski Stadium, in front of the live Sky Sports cameras.

Interim Head Coach, Neil Warnock, is once again set to take charge, as the club’s search for Chris Ramsey’s successor continues.

Warnock, buoyed by Saturday’s win against Leeds which arrived courtesy of substitute Charlie Austin, must decide whether to stick with the same side that tamed the Whites, or recall Austin in the wake of his cameo display from the bench.

Reading, meanwhile, head into the game on the back of a 3-1 reversal at Nottingham Forest at the weekend.

That defeat means it’s now one win in seven for the Royals, who were rocked last month with the news Clarke opened talks with Fulham regarding the managerial vacancy at Craven Cottage, only for the former Chelsea and Liverpool coach to perform a late U-turn and commit his future to Reading.

I'm on the train now. I thought it would be packed because of the motorway closure. Fairly spacious, though. Maybe because Im early.
