Yes, they're currently two point ahead of us. Just as you are two points ahead of Everton. I'd worry more about the mouser power shift, if I were you!
im sure moureen goes into every game with the intention of not getting beaten, wouldnt be much of a manger if that wasnt the case. you failed to break down a team that are in turmoil, failed where many others this season have succeeded.
its silly because the same way spurs will always be in arsenals shadow, everton will always be in ours i reckon when/if the norf lundun powershift ever happens spurs will probably organise a parade with open top bus and all the trimmings
I'm not so sure. Everton look really good, with some top players. Martinez has got them well organised too. I think the mouser power shift is a definite possibility!
Why focus on Chelsea..like it or not they have an expensively assembled squad..etc etc. I'd understand if we had lost to someone like West Ham.
G Neville appointed Valencia head coach with Phil as assistant. The players will have to get used to their faces. The main reason Neville over praises us is due to his England role and his own background, coming through the youth system, but now he's set himself up for failure. Brave decision, especially being abroad yet he couldn't hide in the studio for much longer. Interested to see the style he attempts to implement and will their players take him and Phil serious?
OK.....actually Phil has been Valencia assistant manager since the summer. Missed news of that appointment! While Valancia Owner Lim co owns Salford City with the Neville brothers/Scholes & Butt..
I don't think Sky have quite the grip on TV coverage that they used to. However, there is no doubt their coverage was enormously enhanced by having Gary Neville on board. The guy was a breath of fresh air and a pleasure to listen to as he undoubtedly knew his stuff and had a genuine understanding of how football is played. A brave decision by the man to take the role at Valencia. Sky will find him very difficult to replace, particularly as very few can understand a word Carragher says and Thierry Henry is simply dreadful and so up himself.
They've been trying to shoehorn Henry, Gerrard and Lampard on MNF lately so I wouldn't be surprised if they have 2 of them on each week alongside Carragher.
I've no doubt Neville will return to the studio once he fails as a manager. Yes he understands the game and clearly has gained massive respect for his work as a pundit, yet I just can't see him being a success as a manager. He's taken on a huge job. Valencia are a great club, tradition of being top four, playing attacking football and while I won't judge him based on this short term role, I would surprised if he ends up as a top manager.
Boss thinks Harry was a top manager so I agree that Neville will likely not end up like him. I think Neville will be the next Man U manager if he delivers on his potential
Southampton 1 Liverpool 6 Caulker shows why we sold him! Truely awful performance from him. Worryingly for Southampton, Liverpool didn't actually play that well imo...no where near as well as they played v City or Chelsea...but I maybe in a minority on this as everyone on sky thinks Liverpool's performance was amazing. I ain't actually digging at pool... just think Southampton were worse than terrible
Koeman makes some strange team selections, while Caulker has turned out to be a woeful defender, who looked promising at Cardiff, although maybe more for his strength at set plays then his actual defensive work. The bin dippers do have Klopp, a manager that would have been on the shortlist for virtually all jobs in European football if he was available, so it may turn out that Klopp takes Liverpool to a level we can't reach under Pochettino.
we definitly diddnt play that well tbh, southampton were very good for 20mins until studge gave them a shock with a bit of individual brilliance, then after the 2nd went in they were never really threatening even with plenty of the ball, i wouldnt say southampton were worse than terrible at all, we were just clinical (6 goals 7 shots on target i believe) over all very happy to beat saints 1st team with the side we put out, klopp in full effect chaps be warned
