All three of the previous teams with five points after 14 Premier League games have finished bottom of the division (Swindon Town 1993/94, Sunderland 2005/06, QPR 2012/13)

Good post, there is no helping Villa.
Newcastle are also shot. Big Sam will keep Sunderland up.

Hadn't they the lowest goals scored ever at Christmas 2014, but still escaped despite all pointers to their demise? I think they'd won their first three games in August, though.

They've dodged the bullet for the last five seasons, but will catch it this year I feel

........and do you have any thoughts about this, will they succeed where others have failed? Will they match Derby's all time low points tally? Will they have more managers than points by the end of the season?

Come on Durbar give us a bit more to go on rather than just banal points........

I try not to wish other teams ill as it usually comes back to bite you savagely on the arse but really don't like Villa or their fans. That said we have our share of dickheads as well.

If there is a God those horrible bastards will go down and probably fold and die.

Agree Watford. I want Villa to go down as well. They have been hanging on for years and always cost us relegation when season after season they put a four/five winning run together and survive. Nothing will save them this year.

I've probably missed something, but why is a "Staff Member" and a "Forum Moderator" having pops at the originator of this thread? What was so wrong with posting those stats - which I found interesting - that it warranted the "bell-end" and "banal" comments?

I wondered the same? But then the many similar "pops" on here have left me pretty well inoculated to wonder too long!

Obviously I can't speak for 999's but personally I was trying to get Durbar to put some more flesh on his posts, give us his viewpoint or opinion, rather than just starting a thread of a one line statistic and then not posting anything else......nothing more nothing less.....maybe "banal" was the wrong word to use but I thought it suited the situation........apologies if anyone took it in the wrong context, I'll be more careful in future......
