I think we all risk a bit of over reaction - we had a storming start to the window and have improved from where we were last year (IMO). We have still got some cash left from **** and Henderson and SB has banged on about loan signings already - they are more likely closeer to the end of the window than the start - hang tough people - SB done well so far, clearly has the Quinn/Short backing he needs - we`ll get a couple more in yet...I have a feeling one might be Bentdner (or however you spell his name!) not my first choice mind

    Agreed!

Welbeck- don't think Fergie will let him go. Maybe he'll sell him next summer if he doesn't make much of an impression, but I think this season is his OT chance.

N'Zog- ship might well have sailed. Then again, if Villa don't take him, Whelan might get desperate, and we might have a chance. Would love to see him here but, like everyone else, I'm bored of the saga.

Sturridge- Would love him. Really think it would be an exceptional signing. And if Chelsea have Drogba and Torres, and are going for Lukaku.. Even with Anelka gone, that's Sturridge 4th choice.. I'd love it if we bought him outright, but I'd take a season loan, at least then he'll cover Frazier, and he'll fall in love with the place so that when he does move permanently...

Bentner- I agree with Cest and BB that he'd do well here. Unfortunately I think he wants a permanent move, not a loan, and for that I don't think we have the wages or the Europa League that he'd be after.

To be honest I could see us not making a big signing, but I hope we do, twice. If we don't- Sess behind Gyan away, Wickham and Gyan up top at home. Wickham and Frazier to cover ACN absence. :)

I can't believe that Quinn and Short will allow us to go into the new season with the same potential problem as last year. Gyan injured and we are in the s**t. Whickam and Dong-won are investments for the future not now!

Bendtner on loan for season with view to permanemnt contact or Pogrebynak

Bendtner please no he would do nothing at SAFC he did nowt at Arsenal FFS. Got a nasty feeling that Bruce knows we want a top class striker so as he has done with the LB situation will not sign one and, use as said Sess as a makeshift striker.
Still think a defender and a LW not sure it'll be N'Zogbia though, plenty time yet and I don't think there is any need for panic buys YET.

People keep saying we will get a french insomniac. Which part of the £10 million or £60K per week am I missing? Best case scenario, N`Zog and Wellbeck on loan. Odds of this happening are very very long.

Can't see Fraizer being able to cover for the ACN absentees because the ACN is being played in January and and Fraizer isn't due to be back until April at the earliest.

    Bellamy

Plenty of experience which is what we lack from our forwards. Shouldn't cost too much and he can be a game changer.

Plus hes bound to score against the mags
