Match Preview

RANGERS return to Loftus Road for the first time in three weeks this afternoon, as Leeds United come to town in the SkyBet Championship.

The clash sees Interim Head Coach, Neil Warnock, come up against a side he managed on no fewer than 63 occasions between February 2012 and April 2013.

That alone is sure to add a bit of extra spice to the fixture, which is likely to attract the biggest crowd of the season so far in W12, with Leeds allocated both the lower and upper tier of the School End stand.

Without a victory in four Championship outings, Rangers will be keen to bounce back from last Friday’s last-gasp defeat at Middlesbrough, and with it, potentially climb back into the top half of the table.

Leeds, meanwhile, head to London lying just one place and one point behind the R’s in 16th spot, having seen their recent upturn in fortunes under the guidance of recently-appointed boss Steve Evans end with a 1-0 loss to his former club, Rotherham United, last weekend.

Leroy Fer misses out for QPR on Saturday owing to the red card he received at the Riverside Stadium, whilst Clint Hill and Charlie Austin face late fitness tests.

Midfielder Liam Bridcutt, who arrived at Elland Road from Sunderland on an emergency loan deal yesterday, could come in for his debut.

Evans says United pair Sol Bamba and Charlie Taylor could feature after recovering from injury and illness respectively.

Bamba missed last weekend’s home defeat to Rotherham with a toe injury, while Taylor has been sidelined since the start of October after suffering a bout of glandular fever.

Gaetano Berardi will serve the first game of a two-match ban following his dismissal against Rotherham last weekend.

PRE-MATCH TALK

Neil Warnock: “Steve makes me look like an angel, and not many can do that!

“But he cares, he's passionate – and he shows that on the touchline.”

"You don’t realise until you're in charge at Leeds what big a club it is – and Steve will be seeing that now.

“I'm looking forward to it. I want us to be on the front foot and I think it will be an interesting game, played in a cracking atmosphere.”

Leeds boss, Steve Evans: “We all know this coming month does shape the rest of the season. I think for us, we have to keep ourselves involved with the top half of the table.

“When we come out of that game against Derby County at Elland Road late in December, we have to make sure we are in that top 10 pack. That’s when the season starts to get a little bit interesting at both ends.

“If we can get ourselves in that top 10, it also gives the owner and everyone around here every incentive to support what you want to do, if you can get into that little group.”

Makes us sacking him and bringing him back once look positively tame.

Very trivial matter 999's but last time out was in fact - 1/3/2014 QPR 1 Leeds 1, QPR scorer Jenas.

it is going to be cold and wet, so no place for shirkers today.....

We need a win real bad
