Dare we dream of back to back wins? We probably shouldn't. Nor should we dare to dream we'll suddenly display some kind of stylistic tour de force. Barring some kind of sick defensive fetish - watching Sunderland is as dull as it comes. Dreary as it may be, it wasn't exactly exhilarating stuff we were watching before Sam Allardyce took the helm. But would you believe it we're actually becoming difficult to beat. So what he hell. Come on Sunderland, see if you can grind out another mind numbing, boring but effective performance and steal us another win.

Sunderland

Jermain Defoe and Lee Cattermole could be fit after picking up injuries during last weeks win. Fabio Borini has trained all week and should be available for selection.

Billy Jones is suspended which should see DeAndre Yedlin step in.

Stoke City
Xherdan Shaqiri is fit to play though Philipp Wollscheid is a major doubt

Great thread as always marra..... <applause>

Last home game I'll attend this season as I'm off 'away' in a fortnight...
I'm confident of 3 point the morra !!!!
Ha'way :emoticon-0148-yes:

with 4 of the bottom 6 teams at home saturday and the mags away at palace and chelsea away at spurs, if results go with us we could be only 2 points behind chelsea. i would have taken that at the beginning of the season what is jose thinking of pmsl. My prediction 2-0 the lads.

Another cracking match thread.

That bloke over on RR really knows his stuff <whistle>

I'm up at the match with QWOP (almost converted Sunderland fan :)) tomorrow, it will be my last game for a while also. We will probably get into the Victory club at about 1pm if you fancy a beer?
