Both Hampshire boys did well. :) Topley 3-24 from 4 overs, Vince a critical 41. He stuck around while wickets were tumbling at the other end.

From next season in the County Championship, the away team is to be offered the chance to bowl first. If they decline, a toss takes place.

I was listening about this on the radio earlier. The scenario was raised, if the away captain declines to bowl, and then wins the toss, why would he not bat? So why do they need to have a toss at all?

It's to stop the home teams preparing **** pitches. If they do, they'll have to bat on it as the away side will put them in.

4 wickets down. Wonderful catch from Rashid...always amazed how catches close to the ground look wrong on slow motion. In real time he caught it and tossed it in the air...looked grounded in slo-mo. Luckily the off field umpire made the right decision.
