But what is this 47 thing then?More like a ship of some sort.
But they are all in one place. We have to name the place, too. 88 m is fairly high. But what is this 47 thing then?
it must be some means of transport?
There weren't 47 of them in one place, though. The Roman Forum was 50 metres wide and had various lengths.
There weren't 47 of them in one place, though.
Which suggests that the place in which they exist cannot taken bigger versions of this thing. Bigger versions would have to go elsewhere, thus requiring another journey to the place in question.and if any bigger... a long journey??
You are so close NZ. just one missing element. On average there are 47 of them there at one time and any that are too big would have a long journey ahead of them.Container ships. 20m are under water. The width requirement is so all the containers can be removed with the equipment on the dockside. Any wider and the containers could not be reached.
No, not Hamburg. Not actually a port so where else would a 50m + width be a potential problem ?I'm guessing it is Hamburg port
I think that's close enough Frenchie. The regulations for entry to the Suez Canal (Suezmax) specify a maximum draft of 20.1m and a maximum air draft of 68m - (This is because of the bridge over the canal). Maximum width is 50m. On average 47 ships pass through the canal every day. Failure to comply with these regulations means a long trip south of Africa - which some oil tankers have to do. Over to you !A canal.
You learn something every day.
