Well know qpr fan dies aged sixty years og age

anybody else here know him he was a gentleman, what a terrible loss,to mankind

my thoughts go out to whakas family, and may he rest in peace

Didn't know Mr Nolan, Ted, but another lifelong QPR fan and pal of mine died last week - Peter Lavers. Peter was a great character and had a distinguished career in non-league football, having been a member of the Leatherhead team that got to the 4th round of the FA Cup in 1975, losing to Leicester City after having been two up at half-time.

RIP

Commiserations to the family & friends of both these gentleman.

Stroller,

I remember Peter Lavers scoring many a goal for Chesham United in the early/mid '60's. I think he joined us from Harrow or Hayes along with the likes of Mickey Scott (ex Rangers youth player).

RIP

its so sad that a young man of only 60 loses his life,
often leaving a very sad wife
children also wont recover from this kind of loss
as to them often the dad is the boss
i knew wacka since he was ten
cant believe I'LL never see him again

I didn't know Peter in his playing days Terry, but got to know him in the late 70s when he had a season ticket close to mine in SA road. He was a larger-than-life character and I have many fond memories of pre- and post-match drinks in his company. We lived close to one another in South Harrow and I recall going with him to see Harrow Borough play Newport in the FA Cup in the early eighties. We went to the bar after the game and he was feted as a hero by the Borough faithful. He scored something like 98 goals in 100 games for them!

when i used to see him he always had an amazing laid back sort ot personality nothing really seemed to get on his nerves he just went with the flow an amzing guy

RIP Rangers fans...
They join some of my old Rangers pals who left us too young and too soon.
Always R's

Knew wacker really well and all his family seems like only yesterday we were all in the family home for his 40th.
I always remember the brilliant crack we all had at his brother Jims wedding on the Isle of Wight.
RIP to a good friend and a true Ranger
Garry

will be looking to sit down with the heads , and see if we can like russell more raise 1000 pounds for his funeral we at qpr bury our own and as long as it is on monday tuesday or thursday i will definately be there we may not be gramatically correct but we know how to love our brothers, hopefully factomondo will come to wake but as he lives far out in essex this may not be possible

yes facto is a delicous looking brunette call him baby he loves that
only joking egghead facto is a male that i suppose is a picture of his lady, but where as humour is precious this thread
is about a tragic case of a young man who has lost his life
and the lady he has left behind is obviously completely struck down in total shock,so not really appropiate to make jokes on this thread
also i dont know if he has children that have lost there dad, when my dad died i unashamedly cried for ages so its ok to be funny but please in this instance show respect to whackas family

in 68 i shaved my head
i went along to chelseas shed
they taught me how to sing a song
i stole there stuff before very long

we changed the lyrics to match our mood
no copyright then so it wasnt considerd rude
every day we grew in size and it wasnt to be very long
that london was paying us some credit for being quite strong

with sheepskins and white sta press we cut a fantastic sight
in 69 we formed the loftboys and had many a good night
whacka like me was an origional loftboy who loved his rs
we loved our checked shirts and didnt care for expensive cars

he used to knock about with little den
and came back again and again
singing all the songs of the day
his best times were watching qpr play

we all wore our harrington jackets red white and blue
whackas heart was made of gold, and he had a big sense of humour too
REST IN PEACE ORIGIONAL LOFTBOY
MAY YOU FIND PACIFISTIC PEACE AND DRIFT ALONG ON A CLOUD OF PERFECT TRANQUILLITY
