If he'd done nothing Coutinho was there to tap it in though <ok>

Don't talk ****e. The ball was nowhere near Coutinho he panicked under no pressure and spooned it into his own net.

As I said only in astro world would that not constitute an unforced error. It was a ****ing gift FFS<laugh>

He panicked under the pressure of being surrounded by red shirts and ripped open since minute one.

I think it was a bit of both guys, he was under big pressure but it was also a monumentally dumb-ass move, it was his first touch (I think) and an instantaneous reaction to the situation in their area so it shows the ****ness of his decision making and lack of speed of thought/mind, but also how much we were harrying them

Otherwise known as.....an unforced error.

Our first goal came from a ball being cut back by a Liverpool player who had got behind their defence across their 6 yard box with another Liverpool player running on to it [HASHTAG]#forced[/HASHTAG]

Their first goal came from a Liverpool player deciding to hoof the ball up the side of the pitch with no one around him and it being intercepted by a City player allowing them to run through onto goal [HASHTAG]#unforced[/HASHTAG]

I would consider Mangalas OG unforced. It was a bad bit of technique.

Sure we placed the ball in a dangerous spot but I think most defenders would be trusted and expected to make that clearance. The OG was purely a result of bad technique.

Sure. We had them pinned back a lot and so credit should be given that we gave them lots of opportunities to flub it. But that was unforced.

It wasn't milk, it was a textbook forced error. Milner's back pass to Sterling was an unforced error, there's a world of difference.

That's why it was [HASHTAG]#forced[/HASHTAG]

You think City spent £32m on a defender who can't make that clearance? You think he scores an own goal if it's a training game or if he gets a shout of "time"

No. There was no shout because there was no time. There was no composure because Liverpool players were all over them.

I think that is why it's called an error.
The man was on his own, the ball was past Coutinho (who was too slow to get in the 6 yard box), all he had to do was stop it and tap it out for a corner or even use his right foot to put it out for a throw. instead he went with the wrong foot and hooked it into the goal.
A £32m unforced error

Why didn't he then? because of the speed and nature of the attack caused him to panic thereby CAUSING the error!

Because he made the error of trying to tap it past the post with his left foot and hooked it in instead. Have you watched it?

Why didn't he just bring the ball under control, turn, and look for a pass?

Oh yeah... [HASHTAG]#forced[/HASHTAG]

Barrett [HASHTAG]#LFC[/HASHTAG]: The way [HASHTAG]#Firmino[/HASHTAG] and [HASHTAG]#Coutinho[/HASHTAG] link up mean they have to play. Benteke doesn't seem a natural fit for [HASHTAG]#Klopp[/HASHTAG]

Barrett [HASHTAG]#LFC[/HASHTAG]: It's up to Benteke that he can be more mobile to fit #Klopp's system.
