If you consider that we've dropped 3 points due to own goals, then that's the difference between the two teams right now. Take away those OGs and we'd be a point ahead of them, somewhat bizarrely.
Danny Mills: "Jamie Vardy is in fantastic form but is he world class? No, not yet. How much would you pay for him? Would you pay £10m for him?" (BBC) At £10million, most sides would snap Leicester's hand off! Where has this asshole been, these past few seasons? An English stiker of Vardy's class is goin to cost at least £40 million, in today's market!
The BBC were quick to post their "Man Utd go top of the table" story...even though they're currently in second place due to Leicester being 2-0 up at Newcastle, and City getting at least a point at Anfield this evening will drop them right back down to third.
The BBC is desperate for United to find success and glory, again. That's why so many of us neutrals want them to bomb!
Chelsea 1-0 up at Norwich. Praise be to Yevon for that! The worst possible scenario for us next weekend is to go up against a team that has won one of their last five league games, because history dictates we'd lose that one in the derpiest fashion.
Saying there were another nine games to be played, the results of which could have seen Man Utd drop back to fourth by 5pm, strangely didn't get mentioned.
Arsenal surprisingly poor today. Chelsea again looked unconvincing. United tepid at best. A win tomorrow is crucial to close the gap on the top 4 and tighten the screw a bit. I can see Liverpool being dismantled by this City side. Incredible start to the season by Leicester especially after the 'relegation shoo-ins' reaction from most 'pundits' after they appointed Ranieri. But as many posters here have pointed out, they've been in this form since early March now, it's nothing new. How long can they last?
Liverpool 3-0 up! Don't particularly like Liverpool but must be great for them to give some **** back to Sterling! It's such a tight league now. While we are having a good season if we were to lose tomorrow we would only be 2 points above 11th place. Man city look terrible at the back. They really can't cope without Kompany
Screw it. This league was predictable for all of 3 weeks but now it's gone back to being a beautiful orgy of the unexpected.
As bad as City were, some of Liverpool's football was just beautiful. Could be a cracking second half if City sort themselves out, Liverpool are playing with fire the way they're passing it around their defence.
If they are fit, it's odd CIty had recent star Otamendi and permanent fixture Fernandinho on the bench. Mangala has looked a liability before and they have no obvious replacement for Fernandinho who can do the defensive midfield work - closing down and picking up midfield runners.
They do look vastly improved and he's beginning to get the best out of Firmino, which is a worry. But City had a truly shocking first half with defending taken straight out of the 'Tottenham Hotspur Book of Comedy Gold, 2013-14'. It's staggering to think that Mangala and Otamendi cost around £70m yet without Kompany they look completely lost at sea.
