I haven't watched a second of Leicester this season or last so I know nothing about any of their players (even their names), although I have heard of this Vardy lad but only recently. Based on that in depth knowledge and the likelihood that Leicester have most likely been punching way above their weight so far this season, and that we are at home, I can confidently predict a 3-1 home win.

... you'll be in good company if you beat us ... we've only lost twice in our last 21 Prem games ... both were at home, Chelsea last season (when they were good) and Arsenal this (and they were breathtakingly good on the day) ...

.. our last away loss was 4-3 at Spurs in March last season ...

Most of us are realistic enough and know that our good run may well hit the skids between now and the new year ... we have some pretty tough fixtures ... but you have to enjoy the ride whilst it lasts ... in terms of the brand of football we are playing, this is the best Leicester City side since the Jimmy Bloomfield era in the early-mid 1970s ... hopefully it will be a cracking game on Saturday ... we don't seem to get involved in many dull ones <laugh>... good luck for the rest o the season ... after Saturday.

We have won the games that usually an optimistic fan would predict, we still haveto play the "big boys" as we've only played Arsenal and Spurs sofar, so we needed these points on the board early. We play Chelsea mid-December, probably just as they start steamrolling up the league <doh>

Our forms a bit from various columns really, momentum from last season, players improving, Ranieris tinker tactics and a good set of "winnable" fixtures to start the season. We are in a false position at the moment and would still be happy with a top 2 (of the bottom half) finish <ok>

Poor Danny Simpson, solid defensively, average going forward
Our only other option is Ritchie DeLaet, whos better going forward but worse defensively, and with the ammount of goals we concede, we need the strongest defenders we've got.

Personally think we'll win this.

Credit to Leicester on their start, it reminds me of us the season we finished 5th so there's no reason they couldn't remain up their throughout the season. For me Vardy isn't a great player though, just an average one, he's just going through a purple patch and everyone loves him because he works his nuts off. I mean look at Cisse for us, 12 goals in his first 13 appearances, he wouldn't get in most clubs match day squads now.

I'll predict 2-1 to the toon.

Vardy is going through a purple patch there is no doubt ... but if he's fully fit I think he has a good chance of changing your opinion ...

Obviously we watch him week in week out ... it's fair to say he has come on beyond all recognition this season ... Danny Murphy even described him as the most improved player he has EVER seen in the Premiership ...

I'm not saying he's a bad player and didn't mean for it to come across that way. I just laugh when I see him linked to Man Utd, Arsenal etc as he's not good enough for the top 4-6 teams IMO.

By all means I'd take him in our team and every fan of every club admires his work rate, as do all the pundits which is another reason for the silly links to top teams. It's impossible not to like him given where he's come from. I just think mid table Prem is his top level. I don't think many Leciester fans would take a bet on him getting over 20 league goals next season, that's more my point.

I'd be pretty comfortable with putting £100 on Vardy not getting to double digits for Leicester City in the 16/17 season. Most strikers have a rich vein of form in their career and this is all it is, Carroll had it, Cisse, Lambert, Michu, Danny Ings. Danny Graham, Grant Holt going back further, James Beattie, Darren Bent, Benni McCarthy got 18 for blackburn!

Vardy will be added to that illustrious list at some point no doubt!

I think you will lose your money (not that I'm going to bet mind <laugh>) ... Vardy has an attribute that none of the above possess - blistering pace - as such he is not wholly reliant on service - he has scored numerous goals where he picks the ball up far out (even in his own half) and just gets away from his markers to finish - pretty sure he's still top of the sprinting stats in the prem this season ... once his pace goes I'll agree with you mind ..but I think he will have a good 3 or 4 seasons yet and will get into double figures in all of them if he stays fits and at a club where he gets to play week in week out ...

Vardy has proved me wrong every year, when he came to us I said he was not good enough! when we were in the championship I said that he was not good enough again he proved me wrong! and last season when WBA were reported to have offered £5000000 I said we should take it, well he well and truly proved me wrong again! If Vardy his with us all of next season, I will bet you for a charity of your or my choice £100 that Vardy will get double figues again!

You explained in your post above exactly why is form wont last. His Pace! and his fitness on top of that.

His 28 now, His sprinting around covering more distance than any other player, making more challenges then all the other strikers + most midfielders. If he carries it on till summer he will be in the Euro's. Then what about if you qualify for Europa league? pre-season will start early. He will be a year older. and although he was in the Prem last year, it's still fairly new to him, this level of football takes it toll on some of the best players. Maybe he wont be recovering from injuries and little niggles as well as he used to, that will then cut into his fitness. Seriously, im 28 and its all downhill from here! Recovery isnt what it used to be!

I'm not saying that he wont be consistant for the next 3-4 years, but odds are against him, its difficult. Theres only a select number of players who consistently score at the top top level, Shearer, Henry, Drogba, Ronaldo, Messi, year after year. I Hope he does well from a England perspective, but I hope his leg still hurts until Sunday, he can feel better after that

They are due a come-uppance. Don't like Ranieri. 3 or 4-1 Newcastle. Revenge for last year's humiliation, different attitude, I think we may see a different team up to Xmas.

I've really enjoyed the football that Leicester have played this season, which really annoys me as Leicester are one of the clubs I have a completely illogical dislike of. Nothing to do with the team, the place or the fans. Just some twat I used to work with who hated Geordies and used to take great pleasure in winding me up everytime we got beat (which thankfully wasn't as often as it is now). If they keep up this quality and style of play I am in danger of being converted from my self-imposed dislike though!!

The way they have been playing I think they have to be favourites on Saturday. They are more than capable of turning us over. Then again, if we manage to put in the performance we have been threatening to do it could be our day. My heart will rule my head and I'll say 2-1 to us.

Its good to know that Williamson wont be playing. A similar tackle to that where he took out the camera at their place last year could have serious repercussions for overseas transmissions and I am looking forward to watching this. .
The remarkable and rapid improvement in Vardy can only be down to him being fed a mix of crack cocaine and steroids and Mitrovic should be aiming to get an early blood sample so that we can have this confirmed by half time before he can do too much damage.
