How many teams think they have a realistic top 6 finish? Leicester, Birmingham, westhamabad,Southampton, etc Also last few days couple of Pompey players have hinted on Sky Sports Do you guys think anyone do a QPR from the start? Or like me think it will be more long distance with a Sprint to the finish line? Can Cardiff & Forest do it again? Or will they drift? Will Bates and Foggy Grayson ever get it right? Now have an even worse defence and 4th choice tub of lard up front Will crippled Alice get out of the bottom five this season?
I think all of the teams you mentioned have a realistic chance except Southampton. I expect Palace and ipswich to do better this season and I think we will be around the playoff places.
It seems like every team throwing stupid money about thinks they are gonna get promoted, which we know doesnt always come true! (cough leicester) look at middlesbourough last year, bought in the best scotland had to offer and were ****ing ****!!!
I think with that fine squad of players you're assembling automatic should be more or less guaranteed.
Ourselves and Leicester are the faves at the moment and that's realistic. Brum have lost key players and they still lack a goalscorer,so play-offs at best. Saints??? I don't think so. Forest, defo play-offs and could get automatic, but then again, they have the wally. Leeds,play-offs. SE16, same as last season. Cardiff, after losing Bellamy,Bothroyd and Chopra are gonna struggle to score goals. The Nigels, bottom half. But its a very competative league this season,so anything can happen.
I agree with eyetie, but with every decent, (and crap) striker giving the Wallies a wide birth i think they will struggle to score goals and therefore will be in a relegation battle.
You have to admit - NO ONE LIKES (to play) US. All the teams will be ****ting it when they play The Wall - that's our advantage.
Best defense in the league now Swans and QPR have been promoted, we wont need to score loads of goals next season I disagree that West Ham are favourites, you still have Carlton Cole, I almost feel sorry for you
Birmingham had one of the best defences last season, but they could'nt score, ergo relegation. CFC will score loads in this league, just see
Not quite the same in the Championship, we will score goals anyway so it's not going to be an issue So Carlton's found his level then?
I heard on the radio that someone had put a bid in for him. I cant see him staying at a championship club, personally. Not that I think he is good enough for the top tier, but just because he looks like the sort of typical "toys out of the pram" job if things dont go his way. Plus, he will want to break into the <splutterscofeeonhiskeyboard> England team.
No mate, quite the opposite. He don't want to leave and is more than happy to play in the Champ. Its the club who want rid cos he's on 45-50k a week. I've never seen him throw a strop, he's too laid back.
Fair play to him Cockney. Though if I was on 45-50K a week, I would be happy too. He is gonna get dogs of abuse when we play you lot in Sept. It said in the local rag (Southwark news) this morning that the tickets in the home end go on sale on Thursday 18th august, members and season tickets only. Are you gonna make the game? Home end or away?
Nah, i'm giving it a swerve this time. It was too much hassle last time i went. I parked the motor in Hawkstone Rd by Southwark Park, and the OB ferried us all the way back to Canning Town despite telling them i'm parked up local.
45k a week, too ****ing right he's more than happy to play in the Championship that would pay at least half our starting 11
