Very few people think that the West should attack all Islamic communities.
I think a majority of people in the West thinks that we should attack terrorists in every way possible. One of those ways would be to attack ISIS in Syria. The UK are refraining from doing that. The attacks that are being carried out are very limited.

I've always been of the view that the west needs to be the policeman of the world. They should try to educate countries when they step over any certain lines which need to be discussed and decided. Responses should range from talking to the leaders of countries, through to sanctions and finally invasion. I would think that prolonged sanctions would be sufficient if all other countries complied with the sanctions requests. If they didn't comply they should suffer similar sanctions.
The alternative would be to tell these countries we don't like what they are doing and them ignoring us.

You highlight one of the problems there. Muslim scholars. There is no system of hierachy like in a lot of other religions. Priests, vicars and others can get booted out (though not all those who deserve to be always are) and everyone knows and they are out of a job and not making any money. Anyone can declare themselves a Muslim scholar and start spouting their own interpretation of Islam. A lot of them live on benefits they are quite happy to take off the hated infidels, indeed some prominent ones have said it is their duty to do so. Theynalso seem able to fly off around the world whenever they want with no worries about cost. These preachers are spouting all sort of nonsense out of earshot of everybody, not in a pulpit like nutters such as Paisley did. And what happens when they are filmed spewing out hate and calling for death for infidels, Jews, homosexuals and Sharia law in Britain? The police threaten the film makers with prosecution and want the programme notbto be broadcast.

Can anyone say, why it appears there are more successful attacks in France?

Does the UK and suchlike have better intelligence or have they just been lucky so far?

France just seems to get hit more, but maybe thats just my perspective.

I just think France has made itself a focus by some of it's culture challenging doctrine; if they want to focus on us, and do the necessary preparation, they could rip our days apart.

Live our lives, follow our beliefs, maintain our laws and work to convince others of where we believe they are wrong. I think we do that, but there is no instant gratification on a global basis. You might disagree.

You seem to think we shouldn't intervene in other countries other than use persuasion. These countries don't care about our views so if we limit ourselves to talking they will continue to kill homosexuals, stone women, amputate people, abuse children, etc.

Is there any serious attempt to keep illegals out? France is part of Schengen.
Regarding the UK: There are Border Security in Calais and they can stop illegal migrants but they only look for illegal migrants in a small sample of vehicles. If an illegal immigrant gets to the UK and is detected they usually ask them to report weekly but most just disappear. I don't think they are serious enough.

Should we keep legals out, also?
