Thought you might say Arteta. I'd like to see what he's like as a coach, he's certainly been one of our better Captains and he's clearly a good communicator. I also think Steve Bould could be a good choice, certainly in the set up anyway. Would also like to see Bergkamp involved at some point, but his fear of flying puts a ****ing spanner in the works.

Bould is nothing more than a coach, I remember when he took charge of an Arsenal game when Wenger was banned might have been in the CL, he looked uncomfortable as **** on the sidelines and especially when dealing with the media, which is a huge part of the role now. Arteta speaks brilliantly about the game whenever he is interviewed, a natural.

Mikel Arteta, ever since he joined us he has shown that he has excellent leadership skills off the pitch and there is already talk of him joining the coaching staff, Wenger's contract ends in 2017 and there is even reports about him extending his contract again, so that gives Arteta a few good years to learn alongside Wenger. Plus a guy like Arteta with his background and being taught football at La Masia just like Pep and Luis Enrique has all the fundamentals to become a very good manager.

Good call, I would imagine he might go back to Spain though.

Genuinely didn't know that, if true then he could well be in the frame.
He has been in England for ages now, and he never really had a playing in career in Spain as a senior player. In fact, he nearly played for England under Capello, but because he played for Spain under 21's in a competitive game he was not allowed to play for England.

I remember that, was hoping at the time that they could push it through.
As you say, he is very composed in interviews and certainly knows his football.

He was at Rangers before he joined Everton and that was ****ing yonks ago, he's basically English with a Spanish upbringing.

I really hope it's true that he is joining our coaching staff next season. I've seen reports that he, flamini and rosicky won't be offered contracts for next season. He has had a great affect on the team and club as a whole, so would be a big loss to lose him totally next year.

As sanj says he's the most likely to become a manager or even our manager out of our players past and present.

I think there is a good chance Remi Garde is being lined up as our next manager

As Chelsea have dropped more points and have only 15 points from 14 games!!!

It basically means that to get to the around the 72 points which should guarantee a top 4 place they would need to win 19 of their remaining 24 games!

That is a big ask. Even on top form they would struggle with that sort of form.

Exactly! There is no chance in hell they'll get CL footie next year, and considering how precarious Chelsea's finances are (or at least how difficult it is for them to break even), then I can't see them surviving a 'Moyes' style season half as well as Man U did financially. Yet Mourinho will be begging for big signings in January and in the summer (if he's still there), which they may not be able to afford.
