Anybody going?
Our new interest is making his career debut there in the median auction 2yo race.
His name is BUZZ LIGHTYERE (sorry about the name and the spelling) and he is a lovely bay colt by Royal Applause out of a mare called Lady Gloria. She was pretty decent winning six times for James Given including two Group Three's, The Princess Elizabeth Stakes and the Select Stakes. She won twice on the all weather which augurs well for his campaign this winter.
He is a smashing colt and has really taken everything in his stride since joining the yard around two months ago. He has done stalls work like a dream and works really nicely. He still has plenty of furnishing to do but he should be half decent and give us a lot of fun while Squire is off having his holiday.
As with Squire there are ten of us involved, three from this forum, a long term friend of mine having his first dabble and a few from the Squire syndicate.
We have only been able to do this as it is a lease deal. We have him until 31st December 2016. He has been qualified for sales races and they could have let him go for 45,000 so we are pretty lucky to have been able to do a deal like this.
I/We hope you enjoy cheering him on as you have our other interests and if any of you are at Kempton on Wednesday evening I would be delighted to meet you.
Fingers crossed he proves to be worth following!
