I'm actually quite surprised Abramovich hasn't told him to do one yet, especially as he's sacked previous Chelsea managers for a lot less. My only guess is that RA knows the Mourinho is a fan favourite with the crowd and he did also win a domestic double six months ago, so he wants to give him more time to try and turn it around. They have Norwich at Stamford Bridge in their next fixture which, as bad as they are, they should win relatively comfortably, before the squad fly out to Israel and then come back to London to face you lot away. So it's feasible that Chelsea's match against your mob could determine his future.
Ah just imagine. Mourinho receives his marching orders after a pasting at the mighty Tottenham during which Diego Costa suffers a season-ending injury. Abramovich announces that Tim Sherwood will take over managerial responsibilities with immediate effect. I think I just did a little wee.
It's what I've been hoping for ever since their bad run started. We'd give him a proper send off. Imagine Mourinho walking down the tunnel after losing to the whole of WHL chanting "E-va Car-neirooo, E-va Car-neirooo" I mean, we could lose, of course, but that would just be us feeling sorry for Mourinho, like Wenger did Anyway, big game tomorrow...
Indeed. Don't think either side will keep a clean sheet but, as you'd expect, I am expecting us to win the battle this time round
I really hope they persist with the moaning one, there's no doubting he's a good manager but I genuinely believe he is massively at fault for their shocking start. His arrogance reached new levels last season and his antics are getting to the point where I think even his own players are getting pissed off by, judging by the body language of them this season they don't seem like the type who are putting in a shift for their manager. Fabregas - who ironically the media outed as one of the supposed players who's got an agenda against Jose - looks ****ing awful while Matic is a far cry from looking like one of the best DM's in Europe, Hazard went from being player of the season last year to a guy who wouldn't even make many top 10 teams benches at the moment and most of their team are just massively under-performing with Willian seemingly the only shining light. I'm loving their plight and truly believe that a new manager will see them go on a positive run because that's a world class team right there who just need some form of encouragement. We need a campaign to save Jose
We don't do clean sheets v you lot...the last was in 09. The results since 08 have been a mixed bag for both sides... Premier league 4 draws 5 arsenal 5 spurs carling and fa cup 1 draw 3 arsenal 1 spurs 69 goals in 19 games Arsenal 37 Spurs 32 Arsenal blew a 4-2 lead in the 88th minute in the 4 all draw in 08 They also blew a 2 nil lead in the 3-2 at the emerates in 2010 and a 3-1 lead in the return match which ended 3 all Spurs blew a 2 goal lead to lose 5 -2 in 2012 Imho it is the most interesting PL derby match for neutral fans...but I still hate NLD's...the build up and the 2 hrs of the match are awful...so stressful (football wise) and the only enjoyable thing is if we don't lose! Apart from that I'm looking forward to the match
Just watching Gomes' performance from yesterday. Bad day at the office is an under-statement! God knows what he was doing out there for the penalty, never mind being beaten by a pea-roller.
But that was always the issue with Gomes...either brilliant or shocking...and the shocking moments were common enough to panic the rest of the team. I was lucky enough to be at the spurs v arsenal match in 2010 when Rose scored THAT goal...what is often forgotten about that game are the 3 truely amazing saves that Gomes pulled off in the last 15 minutes. I was behind his goal and that was the best goalkeeping display I have seen live. Yet in his 3 years as spurs no.1 he made horrendous mistakes so regularly. I think he comes across as a good person I interviews so do not wish him ill luck but I am glad he ain't our keeper any more!
Chelsea gain nothing by sacking mourinho. Top 4 is almost dead, league is dead, out the league cup already, realistically not gonna go down. Other than CL and FA the season is already a write-off so they might as well stick with him til they're out of them too
"Chelsea have a shortlist of three potential interim managers - former bosses Roberto Di Matteo and Guus Hiddink, and ex-Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers - if Jose Mourinho is sacked" Come on, Roman, let us all revel in the hilarity of Rodgers at Chelsea!
City draw. If we win today, only 3 points off the top. Would be quite a position going into the international break.
His saves were one of the reasons we got top 4. He lost some points too but its the balance that counts. If a striker makes a similar mistake it costs a goal too but not in the record books....
Swansea have released Michu, paying up the remainder of his contract which lasted until the end of the season. Plagued by injuries and had some sort of clash with coaches, apparently. Adebayor and him on a free for someone in January? Risky. Moyes has been sacked, as was rumoured to be happening yesterday. He'd been in charge of Sociedad for 364 days.
