Mike Ford, the team coach, and Bruce Craig, the owner of Bath, were both convinced Burgess would stay right up until the time he left. I seem to have heard something like this somewhere before...Bath just issued a terse statement saying Burgess has gone to the Rabbitoes....obviously not happy bunnies. Pun intended.
Now saying he left for personal reasons...that could be just because he wanted to live in Australia, but could be something else.
I wonder how much of the excellent rugby displayed by the SH teams in this World Cup will rub off on the club game and 6 Nations. Not a lot on the Leicester team it seems.
