That says as much about Utd as it does about the 2 players.

Stats say they are among the best midfielders in Europe, 9 assists for Ozil so far this season, highest in the land, and overall he is just behind Messi. So that indeed says a lot about Ozil, how damn good he is.

Thank you though, as Spurs played an integral part in Ozil coming to Arsenal, as we always like to remind you while singing 'you sold bale we signed mesut ozil mesut ozil' :D

It's for the 2015-16 season, which is exactly eleven games old. That hardly constitutes some kind of meaningful statistic!.

They'd both walk in to any other team in the world today or in any previous or future era. The games where they do the square root of **** all have not happened and never will.

Entirely disagree. They're both way too inconsistent. Real got rid of Ozil, if he was that good, he'd still be there...

Ozil has walked into a german national side helping them lift the world cup, so you can be as sarcastic as you like, but he has won the most coveted winners medal there is.

He's been on fire for about six weeks

No, he's been on fire since he came back from injury, you just don't want to acknowledge it because your too stubborn to admit your argument on him underachieving is nonsense. And even if it's only 6 weeks, if he was **** for 6 weeks you'd be more than happy to slate him, but fire on 6 weeks, and you don't want to praise him, lol.

Haters don't phase him anyway, he will just keep doing his thing, assisting goals week in week out.

And a vital cog in that wheel he was too

Vital cog or non-vital cog, he was a main part of the German team that won the world cup, which is something that will stay forever, so you can mock about him walking into future or past era, he has made history in the current era by being part of a German team that has won the world cup.

I'm more than happy to say he's had a very good season. The sort of season a £42m player should have.

Still, he absolutely has underachieved overall at Arsenal. He may redeem that if he has a final 2/3 of the season like the first third.

A main part? If you say so.

He hasnt underachieved at all, you just don't want to give him credit, and are more swayed by nonsense you read in the papers, and just watching him here and there, rather than on a consistent basis. At the end of the day, the stats do all the talking, ever since he joined, he has always been among the top assist-chances makers in England, and Europe.

Here is another stat for you:

Arsenal playmaker Mesut Ozil now holds the record for best games per assist rate in Premier League history after setting up Olivier Giroud in the 36th minute at in the 2-0 win over Everton at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday.

lol, yeah, he has massively underachieved as well.

Great. I'll judge him on what I see which has been very good for most of this season and largely underwhelming the rest of the time. How often do you see him live? Much more than me?
