Henry covered Barton most matches last season. I am not sure he can cover the current midfield at QPR because everyone in the midfield is too busy watching the ball sail above their heads
getting rid of barton and dunne was foolish. classic rangers though over the past few years…. get rid before you've got adequate replacements. madness.
Whilst Ned is a limited player, he isn't anywhere near as bad as some on here are making out. Same goes for Henry. Scapegoats are becoming the in thing on here. Ned was to blame for the goal, but he's a better (limited) right back than Perch and Konchesky was worse than anyone has been all season and barely gets mentioned. Strange!
I agree totally. I accept that he has the occasional technical flaw. All players do. My criticism is at his selection as captain. I see no leadership. I see a fellow having to concentrate too heavily on his own game. And I see no other choice than Charlie Austin as captain. If we had been more decisive, we could have snapped up Big Sam and got Kevin Nolan for free!
Agreed that Ned shouldn't be captain. Austin moans too much to be a captain imo. Hill is ideal and good enough to play.
It's not so much that Onuoha is no good, the frustrating thing is that he shouldn't have to play right-back - we have others, but they are out on loan. Konchesky was very poor on Friday, but had performed OK up until then (he should now be dropped for Yun or Kpekwa), whilst Henry has performed poorly all season, but still gets picked every week. It's frustration, not scapegoating.
That's all frustration at Ramsey. This thread is about Onuoha....scapegoating. Henry would be fine alongside Faurlin.
I overlooked Clint Hill - but only due to his limited opportunities on the pitch. I agree - he was the most vocal against MK Dons - and was talking throughout to young Grant Hall. The only other voices I've heard this year directing others are from Ali Faurlin (limited game time) and occasionally Karl Onree - though he seemed more argumentative. The other one will make a few smile. Jamie Mackie. Very vocal throughout the few minutes of game time he has accumulated; albeit high pitched and intense!
Didn't look like he'll be playing again this year. A greater loss than the scoreline imo. No half decent replacement is available.
I've actually seen Rob Green doing a lot of talking and directing team mates. Maybe not always successfully, but at least he is more vocal than most, including Ned At the time I rather got the impression that Ned was made captain because of the talk of him potentially leaving Unfortunately I don't see obvious captain material other than Clint, and it looks like he could be out for a while
I could be wrong here; but again another little non-habit of Sir Alf. He says very little about our injured players, if at all. I guess one could argue he's the polar opposite of 'Arry who was always bemoaning an absence of players. I actually miss his platitudes 'he's a top man, no - not a moment's trouble, smashing fella'.
This do you? It is from Get West London Sport Saturday night: Ramsey added: """""Clint's had a knock and a pull, but he's a warrior, and maybe he'll be back soon, but it didn't look very good""""
Clint''s knee wasn't as bad as feared according to the Official. He's out 2 to 4 weeks. Sandro has an ankle injury and wil miss Derby, but may train again this week.
