FT score - booed off the field.

Wish we could get a couple of early goals like that in some of our games - knowing us we'd blow it though over the next 84 mins.

Liverpool have been the better side overall, Chelsea are really looking like a team that have lost their way. Costa got away with a dig earlier that should have been a red card so no advantage either way. Liverpool pressing much better and that's been the difference. I can see them scoring again as Chelsea go for an equaliser...

He just can't resist:-

Former referee Howard Webb tells BT Sport Diego Costa should have been sent off a few minutes ago for appearing to lash out at Martin Skrtel. The pair challenged one another and as bot men were on the floor, Costa seemed to kick out at his opponent.

It will be interesting to see if the FA have much to say about this one.

Chelsea's defence just described as "spectacularly shocking" - other than location, I guess we do having something in common with them!
 
The thing is this was a game that Liverpool dominated for long periods, Chelsea were so one dimensional, if Costa is shackled the midfield that was so dominant in recent seasons looks toothless and lacking ideas. Apart from an outrageous 40 yarder from Oscar they never looked like scoring. My prediction that José will be gone by Christmas still stands...

He's already mastered the 1000 yard stare, blaming everyone else from club doctor upwards........plus the fact that this is the first time that any of their "fans" under 25 have experienced a relegation battle, they'll be leaving in their droves.......it'll be interesting to see if the players that are used to winning have enough cojons for the scrap during the long, dark winter nights?

They have too many genuinely world class players to end up in a relegation battle imo, but I'm enjoying it while it lasts.
 
Derby warming up for our visit, getting to their business early, 1-0 up against Rotherham, goal scored by Andreas Weimann, signed from Villa back in June on a 4 year deal - he's only 24. I wonder how we'd be doing right now with a dream manager on-board.

If we play like we did last night, we'll get skinned alive on Tues.
