Can't see us getting anyone of his high quality. I was thinking more of the Ronaldo, Messi, Suarez level.
Chelsea forward Pedro, 28, has told friends he regrets moving to the club from Spanish giants Barcelona in the summer and would be happy to return to the Nou Camp club. (Fichajes via Daily Express) Former Liverpool manager Gerard Houllier claims he had to get rid of a drinking culture in his time at the club, and says the Anfield side's current troubles are down to the signing of too many players. (Secret Footballer)
I agree with Houllier. We spread our kitty over 10 players a year instead of just focusing on the very best we can get in 2 or 3 positions. We'll never improve playing the lottery like that and the squad never forms a very close connection.
Couldn't be bothered to start a new thread but Klopp isn't a fan of how we're loaning out our players so expect some reform in that department.
Yeah I saw the interview today, I think we will still do loans but we will look at the needs of yeh player more closely (that's what should be done anyway).

(Don Balon via Daily Express ) Barca are also considering a move for former Liverpool and current Feyenoord striker Dirk Kuyt, 35, in January. (Sport) Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp wants more of their youngsters to stay at the academy rather than going out on loan. (Liverpool Echo) Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger says it is "now or never" for forward Joel Campbell - and thinks the 23-year-old can be "very important" over the next few months. (Daily
I loved having Kuyt play at Liverpool but why would Barca want a 35 y/o Kuyt. That seems ridiculous. About as likely as Real wanting Vardy.
Rumours of Rossiter leaving on a free at end of season with 'CL teams at home and aboard interested in him'. Sounds like agent trying to get a better deal than that being offered if you ask me. Would be crazy to leave after finally getting a chance this year.
Lol, champions league teams. Maybe they meant championship teams. I really don't rate the kid, just reminds me of Spearing.
Champions League teams encompasses a lot of dross at this stage, after the group stages it gets better
Bit harsh, has only played a few games but stand out in reserves and looked clam and composed when he's played in first team.
It's a shame. I'm not sure Rossiter will ever be good enough for first team but I wouldn't mind if the club held onto him for one more contract as a bit-part player... I think he offers enough for that and can't cost that much. It's important to have a few locals in the squad if for no other reason as to make the club attractive to other local youths who aspire to be the next Carra/Gerrard/Rossiter. If locals don't make it through the ranks at Liverpool kids may want to play for Merseysides #2 team instead... which is good news for Tranmere I guess.
