    QPR make the short 5.1 mile journey to Brentford tonight for an eagerly-anticipated west London derby under the Griffin Park lights.

    Both QPR and the Bees head into the Sky Sports live clash buoyed by 3-0 victories at the weekend.

    Whilst Rangers were seeing off MK Dons in some style at Loftus Road thanks to three second half goals on Saturday, Lee Carsley’s Bees were extending their mini unbeaten run to three matches with a comfortable win at lowly Charlton Athletic.

    That win lifted the Bees into the top half of the table for the first time since the opening week of the campaign, whilst the R’s triumph saw them climb to within five points of the play-offs and just a further point adrift of second spot.

    Much of Brentford’s upsurge in form is down to the impact of new boss Carsley, who – since taking over from Marinus Dijkhuizen, who was sacked earlier this month – has guided his charges to three wins on the spin.

    The Bees’ home form, however, will give Chris Ramsey’s side some room for optimism, with Brentford winning just two of their six home fixtures to date this season.

    Ramsey is unlikely to make many changes ahead of the trip across town, although Charlie Austin could be named in the matchday squad for the first time since picking up a hamstring injury in our defeat to Fulham five weeks ago.

    Brentford, meanwhile, are likely to be unchanged.

    The Bees have no new injury worries, although Josh McEachran (foot), Jota (ankle) and Andreas Bjelland (knee) remain long-term absentees.

    Midfielder John Swift will be involved again after extending his loan spell from Chelsea until January.

    Brentford – Likely line-up (4-2-3-1): Button;
    Yennaris, Dean, Tarkowski, Bidwell;
    McCormack, Diagouraga;
    Woods, Judge, Swift;
    Djuricin

    Possible QPR Xl

    Just listened to the first 15 mins of that interview, up until the point when clint is talking about the influence the fans can have - positive or negative. I've never understood why fans in the ground don't get that. We go through spells of lively, positive atmosphere, but largely, everyone needs something to happen before they offer any real passionate vocal support. I reckon that if we consider we have a job to do as well from the stands, we 'd earn our team a decent tally of points over the season.

    Anyway, I'm pissed off, because I forgot to set the game to record and I'll not be home until late, so it's radio for me. Do they re-run the game later on?

    I had a look on the Brentford website and they haven't sold out!! Pretty pathetic considering the capacity is only 12,500 or so!

    How many tickets were we allowed, anyone know?

    I'm just hoping for a decent performance instead of the pathetic surrender we seem to employ in front of the Sky cameras.

    Come on Rangers, the weekend starts here, lets make it a good one - U RrrrrS

    Given that this is our first London derby and first match in front of Sky with Warnock back "assisting" as part of the back room, it will be interesting to see whether we roll over again, dazzled in the glare of the TV spotlight or do what we mostly did in his 2 years and go out with an attitude that we want it more than the opposition do.

    Certainly isn't the weather for trick or treating.........couple of cool beers out of the fridge, feet up in front of the fire in favorite armchair, R's playing them off the pitch and winning at a canter.......ah sheer bliss......
