I presume he means this season. He's certainly been 1 of the better performers alongside Willian and probably Dave.
I'd agree with that but it's not really saying something this season Willian and Dave have been consistently good but it's a bit of a weird time to announce a four year deal based on the past few games, he hasn't been anywhere near what he was when we bought him.
I would say he is our second worst player, behind only Mikel. He has been okay in a dreadful team this season, and he has a good engine. But he cannot pass for ****, is mediocre on the ball, and is basically just a runner. He would have been one of the ones I let go had I been in charge for sure.
Yeah should have clarified that. Obviously not better than hazrd etc.. but he along with willian are the only ones putting in effort and showing desire. Since he came in as a regular after scoring against newcastle, hes been immense and the teams performances improved. Apart from willian, i struggle to think of anyone whos played as well as he has this season.
At one point he looked a great player driving through the middle at teams or putting the work in when defending. Something changed and he was benched he's started to show that desire again lately but some around him are not playing well and you're losing games.
Since Newcastle away when he came on and changed the game he's played really well and aside from Willian he's probay been our best performer. I wouldn't have given him a deal on performances before that though....
