I'm good mate, how are ya? Took some time out but nothing changes.

People expect too much, when did this happen? I just remember supporting my team whatever, as I'm sure you did.

I think I'm missing the irony here maybe. A lot of these comments have got to be tough in cheek, right? Sack AN? He's the reason we're in the Prem in the first place. He's young and he's learning and at the moment he's struggling with decisions (too gung ho against Newcastle, probably too much of a reaction the other way against West Brom). But we have to recognise that since he arrived he has never had any real time to experiment - every game has effectively been a must-win. Give him time and he will come good, I'm sure.

I hope it's irony, but you never know. There have been some odd comments.

He got us here when we thought it wouldn't happen, so I for one hope he stays for a while.

95 minutes wasn't it? Oh well, at least it wasn't a defeat. Hurts though..

Yeah, I was in the TWTD match day chat room and we could all see Forest's equalizer coming, it was really no surprise, Crazy was in there too calling everyone a glory hunting plastic Town fan or something, I had a pop or two at him, that made me feel a bit better, and the copious amount of alcohol that I've had since has really sorted me out! <laugh><cheers>

Well Greg Downs called it right on Canary Call last night when he said that he couldn't believe that there wasn't better CB's than what we have playing in the Football League. For a Premier League club our recruitment policy is amateurish at best and McNally's policies re this should be called into question. Of course calling for AN to be sacked is tounge in cheek ATM and he must be as frustrated as we are having to work with the defenders he's got and to a slightly lesser extent his strike force. I would hate for him to be sacked on the back of 8 - 10 defeats which to be fair is now a distinct possibility, but in all honesty I can see it happening when in truth the blame would lie fairly and squarely with 'teflon' McNally and the board. The fact is not only will recruiting players in January be a lot harder when we're stuck in the bottom three (which I believe we will be now), they'll also be a helluva lot more expensive.
Our current situation is causing a lot of concern with many of us and already it is becoming more and more difficult to remain positive. We will lose to Citeh next week I think that we all realise that's a given, the Swansea game really is a 'must win' now if it wasn't before. Lose that one and it really does look bleak for us.

People are getting this latest "Crisis" out of perspective. If you look at the teams beneath us I would argue that only Newcastle are the only side that look better equipped than us to survive. Of course Sunderland may turn the neighbours over at lunchtime and if that does happen it could put a different perspective on it. Assuming the Mags don't lose then we are five points clear of two clubs that look absolutely down and out. I see that Sherwood has described Villa as "In a hole" and poor old Bournemouth have have their team out to long term injuries.

I wonder how many expected us to be one place beneath Chelsea after ten games. Now, that's what you call a crisis!

How long do we give him? As long as he bloody needs, without turning the atmosphere poisonous.

While threadbump might be a laugh, I worry there are those less sane who are fickle enough to hop aboard this bandwagon. If the AN Out bandwagon sets off, can't see us surviving.

Any talk of sacking Neil is laughable, he has to be given the time to build something here whatever this season holds.
Questions should be asked of the board as to why their failings in the transfer window in not strengthening the areas that were so clearly needed has now left Neil handicapped with a championship level defence and no options to change it. If we are relegated this season the blame lies with the board and their deals in the transfer window.

I recall him [Alex Neil] saying when asked well before the window closed that he wasn't in the market for a centre back.
I found this curious at the time - after ten games I find it delinquent <grr>

I think that is his biggest mistake thus far and it has been hugely costly. All about the learning process I guess.

It's weird because I had heard a "rumour" from someone who claimed to be in the know that Neil was desperate for a CB and the only reason we let Turner go was because we were very close. I dismissed the "rumour" as wishful thinking/invention by the many who don't want Martin at CB. As it transpired, it was a load of horseshit because we didn't sign a CB, but anyone who still thinks there weren't some very weird goings on at our club this summer is either kidding themselves or lying to me...

As I understand, AN did want another CB but only if the quality was as good or better than what we have. That didn't prove possible, so no signing was made. Right decision, IMO.

Totally agree RER and I'd heard a similar rumour, but the reason it didn't happen was that his club wouldn't release him.

Speaking of irony I will have to have a wee chuckle if Chris Hughton's Brighton replace you in the Premier League at the end of the season! <laugh> <ok> Surely you must agree that it will have a certain poetic justice about it!

Try as I might I cannot disagree with that. Hughton had to go, but it was a mistake to fire him with five games remaining. We might well have stayed up if he hadn't gone then.

As many have said on here, he is not a bad manager. That much is clear. We were very much the wrong club for him though.

If it wasn't for his Budgie connections I would have loved for him to manage Town!
