Airport worker 'stole jewellery from passenger as she went through security'
A passenger allegedly had jewellery stolen from her by an airport worker as she went through security, it has been claimed.
It is understood a security officer, employed by Securitas, was allegedly seen taking a bracelet from the plastic trays used by passengers at baggage screening.
Securitas is the security firm which Liverpool airport uses to provide passenger and baggage screening , as well as aircraft searches.
A spokeswoman said: “I can assure you any security matters pertaining to this incident with our customer Liverpool John Lennon Airport are being handled internally with the upmost priority," reports the Liverpool Echo.
“At this time we would decline to make any further comment.”
It is understood the alleged incident occurred earlier this month .
A Liverpool John Lennon Airport spokesman said: “The airport company is aware that Securitas, who perform aviation security duties here at the airport, have taken disciplinary action towards one of their employees, subject to an internal investigation which is ongoing.
“No further details are available at this moment in time.”

The full moon doesn't shine. It's not a light source, it reflects light from the sun. The whole thing is a moot point for that reason.

Indeed. The regolith - soil - is made up of @ 25% glass, so it's one big, **** off mirror in the sky. The glare and refraction from its surface is one of the reasons why the moon-landing conspiracy freaks completely ballsed-up their reasons for the 'doctored' shadows in the photographs taken on the surface.

Two Dogs Rescued
With the order for women and children first into the lifeboats, plus the knowledge that there were not enough lifeboats for everyone on board the Titanic to be saved, it is a bit surprising that two dogs made it into the lifeboats. Of the nine dogs on board the Titanic, the two that were rescued were a Pomeranian and a Pekinese.

Daft bint probably forgot to bring out its treats. <eek>

Reminds me of a classic Pink Panther (cartoon) episode when a hunter trying to capture the panther is continuously 'accidentally' twatted by his faithful hound. :emoticon-0102-bigsm

Two breeds not even worth saving.

THE CREDIT CRUNCH KING

HOW HENRY VIII DIED IN DEBT AND OTHER THINGS YOU DIDN’T KNOW

Henry VIII would have been at home in today’s recession, research from the British Library suggests. As a youngster, Henry spent £2.5 million on capturing a small town from France, Tournai, equivalent to about £5.6 billion today and he died in massive debt. Frittering the State coffers is just the tip of the iceberg. Using evidence from manuscripts, paintings and artefacts on display in a major new exhibition, Henry VIII, Man & Monarch, opening this week, a list of thirteen startling facts has been unearthed.
Henry the hoarder
* By the time he died, Henry owned 50 palaces, a royal record for England. These included Hampton Court, Whitehall Palace (where he died) and St. James’s Palace (where he lay in state).
* Foreshadowing modern day credit crunch and overspending, Henry was a monarch who died in massive debt.
* On display is the Post-mortem inventory of Henry VIII. It lists nearly 20,000 items, including the largest tapestry collection on record, seventy ships and 6,500 handguns.
Henry the lover
* Henry VIII was a happily married man. He was married to Katharine of Aragon for 20 years.
* Henry was a bit of a toy boy: Katherine was 7 years his senior when he married her aged 19 in 1509.
Henry the musician
* He was a keen composer, although he didn’t write Greensleeves
