Sorry to hear that. They are both a blessing and a curse. I do understand the desire to have them though and it can be tough on Some people if you can't.

<laugh> Sorry, wasn't fishing for sympathy; was just reading the previous comments about women of a certain age and was about to tell you all off when I just wrote that instead. It was a long time ago, but I didn't deal with it at the time and now friends are becoming grandparents for the first time, stirring old past disappointments; but believe me, three courses of failed IVF wipe out any desire you may have for them! <ok>

There are compensations to having them I'm sure and not to having them, too. Like you say a blessing or curse. Who knows how they turn out?
 
I've got four diclofenac left. That's eight days' supply. I can't get an early appointment at the quack's for two ****ing weeks. My knees ****ing seize up after 3 days.

Get them to amputate above the knee mate, that'll relieve the pain after the swelling goes down <ok>
