Was at the mk game , loved the positivity with the result . But but ..... A better team would have put us to the sword 1st half , did Ramsey dodge a bullet , been thinking maybe it was a poor result , in the bigger scheme of things , mk were poor , very poor but in first half could have on another day gone ahead . We only started playing once gone ahead . ? Thoughts ?
My thoughts are that mk had one chance and we had several in that first half. We didn't play particularly well but did create a lot more chances.
If we started playing better after going a goal up then it's most likely confidence and tension were holding us back a bit. That result will hopefully let us push on.
We must realise what this league is like currently. I have watched a load of games recently catching up and haven't seen a outstanding team yet Hull I expect to just get stronger Really easy IMO to see we have had again to start again If CR gets the sack then I will lose faith in our club. It's the fans that are the problem and in the end you will see that I right
Regrettably I agree about the fans. Every error is greeted with groans. As for Karl Henry's treatment, that is frankly appalling. If we're not careful we will get what spoilt brats deserve!
Game could have gone either way. The save and also a ball across the face of goal that their player just missed getting on end of and tapping into empty net After scoring we gained confidence and importantly they opened up. Our home record is poor because teams know all they need to do is sit back when we have the ball. Let our CB's have it. Drop strikers onto holding midfielders like Henry who doesn't want the ball anyway, wingers on to our full backs then watch us hoof it long to midgets like Chery and Luongo, or Phillips who got beat by Lewington every time as that's his strength. Then let frustration build and hope it's them that counters or capitalises on a mistake. On Saturday it was our turn to get the important 1st goal and luckily for us because of our greater individual quality the odds are in our favour. But because of our approach and some of the individual's wrongly selected our probability of success is reduced, hence our poor record
I think we are fortunate there are so many poor teams in this division. MK were an excellent footballing side in League One but have lost some of their best players such as Dele Alli and it now shows. When was the last time you left Loftus Road thinking 'wow, that was a fantastic performance'? l can't remember when. Basically our team has no proper shape or 'go to' player, passing is poor and often panicky when pressed and our wins have been in spite of that. The next two months will test us as we play quite a few teams near the top, that will tell us how far we have to go to be realistic challengers...
