Is it April 1st already? A Laurel and Vardy piece:

http://metro.co.uk/2015/10/25/real-...rfect-january-transfer-target-report-5460652/

Real Madrid are interested in a January transfer move for Leicester City forward Jamie Vardy, according to reports in Spain.

The Spanish giants are set to enter the market for a new forward and Vardy’s form has not escaped their attention.

The England international, 28, has scored 10 goals in 10 Premier League matches this season and his sensational form has not gone unnoticed.

And Fichajes have astonishingly reported that Real are considering signing Vardy to provide competition to Karim Benzema.

They believe he would be an excellent second striker to challenge Benzema for a starting spot.

And as he’s not played in Europe, they could register him for the Champions League in January.

A hell of a lot more than the joke amount £8mill that you've been linked with that's for sure. Where the journalists plucked those figures up I don't know, makes you think they are just filling space in their pointless rags...

Sideways move at best.

I'm obviously joking. Well, sort of.

Well he's English in the form of his life and in the England squad.

If they were serious in selling him I think 15 mil would do the job.

Double it, and i'm serious. Even then i'm not sure i'd be happy to sell.

He's integral to the way we play and (in my opinion) is irreplaceable for us.

Might not be worth 30m to you, but it'd probably mean a complete reshuffle in the way we play as well as buying a replacement. We wouldn't be able to do that with 15m.

And the rest. Leicester obviously won't want to sell. The only way we would is if Vardy kicked off and tried to force a move. Even then as Everton (sorry to swear on here) and WBA showed in August that smaller clubs can say no. With the length of his contract, the fact we don't need to sell and his form, England call ups etc it'd take huge amounts surely for us to agree. In my own opinion, it seems to me that he's the kind of player who's market value and what he'd be worth to a buying team would be nowhere near the value he has to us and that we would want. This is what I hope will help us to keep him come the window

Think about it logically though. He's a massive part of your team I agree but his game is based on work rate and stamina, that only decreases when your older. He's not a striker who will just score out of nothing, he makes defenders make mistakes and he capitalises on them, when his work rate decreases so will his chances.

I like Vardy but in this transfer market 15 million is a fair evaluation of someone who's 28 and won't get any better.

That's fine and it's your opinion.

But 15m won't be enough to buy Jamie Vardy. It really is that simple.

It will be.

You'll be left dissapointed.

We're not in a position where we need to sell. We're making money and we're owned by billionaires who have spent a lot of time, effort and money putting us into this position.

I'm sorry mate, but £15m just won't cut it.

Ill be left very disappointed if we brought him for £15m! 10 decent games... He's hot a purple patch atm and is playing well but at 28 and the way he plays has maybe a couple more good seasons. If he continued and scored 20 goals this year and starts next year in similar form then fair enough but buying someone based on not even half a season would be stupid...

so so expect us to attempt to sign him now
