Someone of one of the QPR facebook pages overheard a copper saying it was Tottenham fans. Hearsay, I know but it's the only thing I've heard on it.

Why shouldn't anyone support that club? I can understand the notion that any Wimbledon fan could not support them after the move. That's a given. But what about people who live in MK or have even grown up in MK? Why shouldn't they support the team? Why did anyone start supporting any club when they were originally formed?
This is the wholesome family fun Pete ****leman always dreamed of. Come on you Dongs!
Because if you're above about 18 you presumably had a club before. You pick one or have one forced upon you as a child and you stick with it.
Supporting the little local club every now and again is fine. I go to Barnet and Borehamwood occasionally. But MK had a non-league team long before Wimbledon were put there which could have been bought by Winkleman and built into something. The franchise model will never sit well with me and I hope the whole thing fails miserably, though it has been and will be successful.
Of course, kids growing up in MK should support them in the absence of having their dad's team or whatever thrust upon them. I just find it odd that any adult can just switch allegiance because a club suddenly turned up on their doorstep one day.
Loyalty v convenience. I suspect I will see more Wasps home games than QPR home games this season simply because they are up the road from me. But I wouldn't go and see Coventry City, and only rarely Leamington Brakes. I'm very confused.
I think there used to be a factory in town supplying the car industry. Universally known as the Brakes, but officially Leamington Town, or something. 3 or 4 levels below the Conference. I think. Irritatingly they play out in the countryside, if I could walk there I'd go more often.
They were one of the top non-league teams in the country in the late 70s if my memory is right. They were called AP Leamington in those days and were originally the Lockheed works team...
Actually Stan, they are one division below Conference North having been relegated last season.

They were my nearest Football league team, so there is an argument they should be my team. We only went there though to laugh at them.
It was so funny being told that the Rodney who played for them in the '60's was better than RODNEY! However, my favourite player of all time (not the best0 played for them then, but Stewart Scullion is my hero from being a Chesham player!
Blimey, I remember when Chesham got to Wembley in the FA Amateur Cup Final, in those days it was reported in all the papers. I see they reached the FA Cup 1st round proper yesterday, nice to see some names from the past being successful again...
The depths of my ignorance are limitless. I just live in Leamington, I'm not a local. Wealdstone were my non league team back in the 60s/70s, used to play in a tiny ground behind a cinema in the non flashy part of Harrow, close to the Railway pub where the Who played when they were getting started.
I used to go and watch Wealdstone in early 80s, and Harrow Boro too, when my Dad was working and we couldn't get a lift to LR!
