Give these players a chance to redeem themselves or change it around? I don't envy him the decision. If he stays with the same players and we lose, he'll be accused of having favourites, not being flexible, running out of ideas, etc. But if he makes a lot of changes and we lose, he'll be accused of panicking. I know he's paid good money to make these decisions, but it still can't be easy to be in the firing line like this. Having said that, he seems the kind of guy who'll enjoy that sort of challenge. Shame it's such a vital game in the sense that WBA could easily be around us in the league table. It would be much easier if we were facing Man City away - a game we are very likely to lose anyway, so AN could experiment as much as he wanted. All we can do is hope he gets it right.
Just hope he sticks to his guns, remember when we'd be in a bad patch under hughton he'd make 4/5 changes and we'd lose with no logic as if to say 'told you so'. Remember losing to Newcastle away and he put a strange team out, snodgrass on the left, wes and Morison in, maybe Elliot Bennett in, can't remember but it almost seemed a token change of line up and throwing the game before going back to his standard 11... Think AN has a bit more about him though, wouldn't mind a few changes
I really, really don't want to get into another debate about Hootun again (I really don't!!), but come off it, this has to be one of the worst examples of anti-Hootun propoganda I've seen - and that's saying something! People used to moan like hell when he didn't try anything different and kept sticking with the same formation, but apparently when he did mix it up and try something different he was only trying to "throw the game" in an attempt to stick two fingers up and saying "told you so" to his critics!!! Honestly, you couldn't make it up! At least my prediction of him doing well and challenging for promotion this season with Brighton is being massively exceeded, I wonder what their fans think of him? Probably the same as the Newcastle and Brum fans, and it would appear it's only the Canary 'faithful' who hold him in such low regard.
I have to agree with you Munky, for some unknown reason, things didn't work out for us under him, but his management before and since shows that he has nothing to prove!
I reckon he has a bit left to prove at premier league level, look at AN, He could do no wrong at Championship level, but PL and it certainly isn't plain sailing and roses. Do I think AN will learn and grow as a PL manager? Yes, definitely. Do I think Hughton will struggle horribly with Brighton if they get promoted, Yes, but then all promoted clubs face that. For Brightons sake I hope he learnt that retreat is not the only option for a smaller club in the PL. Bah!
Hughton was only one part of our relegation. The players had a big part to play as well. Actually went all the way up to Toon to watch that game under CH and even though I was watching through my opera glasses I thought we played very well and lost to a damn good goal
I really don't see that he's got much to do/ it's the natural ebb and flow of the pl - some off days some better days - get back to training ground and reorganise and develop the team and develop as a manager. I fully expect some signings to come in later in the season if they can be tempted to the delights of Norfolk for comparatively small amounts of money - will Norwich shell out 50k a week and huge signing on fees like Swansea - Hiwever I doubt stellar shining to be made (more like fine tweaks) therefore expect a roller coaster season - sit back and enjoy the ride - there have been highs and lows already
Stick by what I've always said The long term future of the club comes first I see whatever we spend we will always be a yoyo club bouncing up and down divisions Actually I like it that way every year is different if you are a top 6 club and that's all you expect year in year out then I'd soon get bored We need a good new centre back but not one that will break the bank, before anyone is bought I'd like to see Ryan Bennett beside Bassong

There's only two changes I'd like to see and that's Wisdom and Wes to start. But I trust AN judgement despite the heavy defeat last week.
